BCEL One will soon be available as a payment method on the LCR application for purchasing travel tickets for the Laos-China Railway.
BCEL Bank announced on its Facebook page on Monday that the LCR application will be including BCEL One as a payment option for residents in Laos, allowing them to pay in Lao Kip directly from their local bank accounts, with no convenience fees or hidden charges.
Despite the tease, BCEL Bank has not addressed exactly when customers can expect the option to be available besides saying that it will arrive soon.
Currently, passengers can pay for the tickets through the following payment options: Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), WeChat, Alipay, and Visa.
The LCR application first went live back in March and has been a convenient mode of booking train tickets despite some initial bugs and glitches.
On smartphones, users can quickly plan and manage their travel using the app. Various ticket choices, including first-class, second-class, and sleeper tickets, are available through the app. It also offers details on routes, stations, and train schedules for travelers to plan their trip in advance.
