PROPEL with Singlife Crosses 1,000-Adviser Milestone Fuelling Next Phrase of Growth

Shared services hub to build on early momentum and further enhance all-in-one platform to empower financial advisory firms

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach Newswire – 2 October 2025PROPEL with Singlife, the one-stop shared services hub for financial advisory firms, announces today that it has onboarded over 1,300 financial adviser representatives (FARs), just nine months after its official launch. PROPEL continues to solidify its position as the trusted partner for financial advisers and firms looking to scale their businesses efficiently.

The announcement follows a double-win at the recent InsurInnovator Connect Asia Awards, held on 24 September, where PROPEL clinched the ‘Operational Excellence Pioneer’ and ‘Technology Integration Excellence’ awards. Back in July, PROPEL was also named the ‘Insurtech Initiative of the Year – Singapore’ at the 10th Insurance Asia Awards. The awards validate PROPEL’s market-disrupting proposition and its mission to help FA firms scale their businesses.

Steven Ong, CEO of PROPEL with Singlife, said: “PROPEL started as an idea to ease the administrative challenges tied agents face in establishing their own firms while ensuring customers benefit from unbiased advice and a broader range of financial products. We are driven by the vision of helping aspiring entrepreneurial financial advisers to succeed on their own terms. We are humbled to have crossed the 1,000-adviser mark within a year of our official launch, and we are motivated to work with our clients to continue enhancing our platform and services, to enable them to focus on what matters most – delivering exceptional service to their clients.”

To build on its momentum, PROPEL is focussed on delivering a platform that will allow its client firms to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and deliver more value to their clients. Last month, PROPEL announced the appointment of Terry Chen as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With over 18 years of experience in financial services, technology, and strategy consulting, Terry leads PROPEL’s efforts in growing platform capabilities to address operational inefficiencies faced by financial advisers.

Jean Yeo, Head of Platform and Client Engagement at PROPEL, said: “We are extremely pleased to achieve this major milestone this quickly, but we’re not getting ahead of ourselves. Even as we continue to receive more enquiries on our services and onboard new client firms, we’re continuously listening to our clients and finding ways to improve our platform to meet the evolving needs of advisers. For example, in the early stages, our platform faced some stability challenges, such as connectivity timeouts and slower-than-expected response times, but many of our clients remained steadfast in their support. We’re thankful for the patience and trust our clients have given us, and we’re determined to do right by them. PROPEL is much more than a platform – we’re a one-stop solution, including operation, product and finance support services for new FA firms to start their business or established FA firms looking to grow their business. Our goal is to provide a seamless business solution that allows FA firms and their advisers to thrive amidst competition.”

PROPEL’s team of around 30 technology professionals is focused on continuously improving the platform’s reliability and optimising user experience based on client feedback. In latest feedback from client firms, PROPEL’s platform has seen a significant performance improvement in response times and transaction success rates.

Last month, PROPEL launched “e-FNA 2.0”, an upgrade on the electronic Financial Needs Analysis module on its platform to provide FA firms greater flexibility in meeting their individual business and compliance needs.

PROPEL’s multi-tenanted platform is designed to ensure that all client FA firms benefit from system upgrades and enhancements without incurring additional costs. Every FA firm on the PROPEL platform benefits equally when new features or upgrades like “e-FNA 2.0” are rolled out. This approach not only reduces operational expenses for FA firms but also ensures that every enhancement is accessible to all users.

Shaun Lin, CEO of GEN Financial Advisory, and an industry veteran with over 25 years’ experience, said: “For GEN, having a trusted partner like PROPEL is important. We appreciate their commitment to listening to feedback and continuously enhancing their platform for clients. Whether it’s their client engagement or tech teams, PROPEL has been steadfast in their support, no matter the time of day. Over my years as a financial planner, I’ve seen firsthand what works and what doesn’t in this industry. We are excited to continue this partnership and we look forward to achieving greater success together.”

Beyond technology, PROPEL’s team of nearly 100 seasoned professionals bring a comprehensive and modular suite of middle-to-back-office services, designed to support financial advisory firms from start-ups to those well-established in key aspects of their operations, allowing them to scale in an efficient and cost-effective manner. These include new business lodgements, commission management, product due diligence reporting and comprehensive product comparisons, as well as finance operations like accounts payable and receivable management.

Additionally, in line with its commitment to moving the industry towards an open architecture, PROPEL offers guidance and support to help aspiring entrepreneurial advisers start their own firms and deliver hyper-personalised solutions to consumers. This will ultimately shape a more customer-centric and innovative financial advisory industry.

PROPEL takes a product-agnostic approach towards its business. Its subscription-based model means that rather than having a stake in the firms they support or loading client firms with the burden of sales quotas, PROPEL’s sole interest is in helping firms succeed on their own terms. This allows advisers to focus on delivering unbiased, client-centric recommendations that meets their clients’ unique financial needs. PROPEL believes this ultimately benefits the financial advisory industry by offering customers greater choice in financial products, empowering advisers with autonomy, and challenging insurers and distributors to offer a more diverse range of products and services.

Institutions outside the U.S. interested in trading options with Bullish are encouraged to contact sales@bullish.com to begin the onboarding process.

SINGAPORE, Oct. 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Bullish (NYSE:BLSH), an institutionally focused global digital asset platform that provides market infrastructure and information services, today announced the upcoming launch of crypto options trading expected on October 8, bolstered by a consortium of leading day-one trading partners. This new offering will further enhance Bullish’s ecosystem of crypto derivatives, providing institutional customers with a comprehensive product suite encompassing spot, margin, perpetual futures, dated futures, and now, options.

“Bullish is investing significantly in its institutional offering,” said Chris Tyrer, President of Bullish Exchange. “Our journey began with spot trading, expanded to include margin, then perpetual and dated futures, and now reaches a new milestone with the introduction of options. This is not just about adding a new product, it’s about delivering a complete derivatives product suite with market leading capital efficiency and risk mitigation, all accessible through a single, unified trading account.”

Day-one options trading partners

Through close collaboration in the design phase with the industry’s largest options market-makers, risk takers, technology providers, and brokers, Bullish has built a product that aims to resolve the pain points that exist today in trading crypto options. The result is a solution tailored to meet institutional needs, with confirmed day-one trading partners including:

  • Abraxas Capital Management
  • Ampersan
  • B2C2
  • BlockTech
  • Cumberland
  • FalconX
  • Fig Markets
  • Flow Traders
  • Galaxy Digital
  • Monarq Asset Management
  • Pulsar
  • SignalPlus
  • Wintermute
  • Qube Research & Technologies

This strategic expansion equips Bullish’s customers outside the U.S. with complementary derivative instruments, giving them more opportunities to exchange and tailor risk. By providing a regulated, and capital-efficient venue for options trading beginning with Bitcoin options, Bullish seeks to solve a key market demand, as demonstrated by the early adoption of leading trading partners.

“Galaxy is excited to support the next chapter of Bullish’s journey,” said Jason Urban, Global Head of Trading at Galaxy. “The addition of options to its product suite is a strong step forward – enhancing liquidity, deepening price discovery, and strengthening the overall maturity of the crypto derivatives market.”

“Flow Traders has been closely observing Bullish’s evolving ecosystem, and the addition of options meaningfully enhances their derivatives offering. Bullish’s regulated platform offers unified margins across spot, futures, and options, allowing us to optimize risk and capitalize on trading opportunities. Partnering on day one aligns with our strategy to bridge traditional and digital markets ensuring resilient, always-on liquidity for institutional counterparties,” said Marc Jansen, Co-Chief Trading Officer, Flow Traders.

“As one of the largest block options liquidity providers in digital assets, FalconX is pleased to support Bullish’s launch. Our deep experience making markets in crypto derivatives offers Bullish’s institutional clients access to sharp pricing and deep liquidity from day one,” said Ravi Doshi, Global Co-Head of Markets, FalconX.

The Bullish advantage

Consistent with Bullish’s perpetuals and dated futures product, options contracts are settled in USDC. They also benefit from Bullish Portfolio Margining (BPM), a bespoke, risk-sensitive, scenario-based margin methodology aligned to industry best practices, designed for better risk management and greater capital efficiency.

Consequently, customers can leverage their entire portfolio as collateral across spot, futures, and options within a unified trading account, reducing margin requirements and unlocking greater capital efficiencies. Currently live with Bitcoin options in a limited mobilization phase, options on Ether, other single assets, and multi-asset indices such as the CoinDesk 20 and CoinDesk 5, are in the pipeline.

Since its launch in November 2021, Bullish has surpassed $1.5 trillion in cumulative trading volume. In 2025, the platform executes over $2 billion in average daily volume and ranks in the top ten exchanges by spot volume for Bitcoin and Ether1. Bullish has become a top-tier, institutionally-focused digital assets exchange, that offers best execution in crypto’s biggest assets and deep, deterministic liquidity from its automated market maker. Hanwha Life Launches Finance Mentor Program in Vietnam, Empowering Future Financial Leaders

Cultivating outstanding university students in Ho Chi Minh City as finance mentors
Delivering practical financial management knowledge to vulnerable groups in the local community

SEOUL, South Korea and HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam , Oct. 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Hanwha Life, South Korea’s first life insurance company, is taking a proactive role in alleviating financial vulnerability in Vietnam by selecting outstanding young financial talent in Ho Chi Minh City and enabling them to share financial knowledge throughout the local community.

The company announced on October 2 that it successfully carried out the “Hanwha Life Finance Mentor” program in Ho Chi Minh City, nurturing promising university students as finance mentors who deliver practical financial education to financially underprivileged groups such as youth and women.

This initiative is part of “Future Plus”, Hanwha Life’s global social-contribution program designed to create sustainable social value through financial education and talent development in overseas hubs such as Vietnam and Indonesia.

According to the latest report by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Goldman Sachs, Vietnam ranks among the world’s top countries in terms of the size of its financially vulnerable population. In response, Hanwha Life partnered with Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and ChildFund Korea to establish a positive cycle in which Vietnamese university students trained in finance and ICT return to their communities to deliver creative, innovative, and locally tailored financial education.

The program was launched with the selection of 20 undergraduate mentors from HUTECH’s finance and computer science departments. Following an inauguration ceremony in August, the mentors completed two months of intensive training, which included foundational finance and fintech education, financial management workshops, youth mentoring practicums, and expert feedback sessions. The training was jointly led by Hanwha Life financial and insurance experts, local economics faculty, and child-education specialists.

Upon completing training, the student mentors delivered customized financial education programs for youth and women at middle and high schools—including Royal School and Experimental High School Ho Chi Minh City University of Education—as well as at the Center for Capacity Building, Support for Women and Children (CSWC). By integrating games and recreational activities into their teaching, the mentors taught practical ways to manage money and everyday spending habits. Incorporating evaluation and feedback from youth-education experts also ensured the program’s effectiveness and cultural relevance. The initiative will continue through December, with the goal of reaching a total of 1,000 community members.

A participating student mentor, Ho Phan Truc Anh (Hồ Phan Trúc Anh), said, “Through this program, I not only gained financial knowledge but also had the rewarding experience of sharing what I learned with local residents. This program helped me realize the seriousness of financial vulnerability in our community, and I will continue contributing to the spread of accurate financial knowledge.”

A Hanwha Life representative stated, “By nurturing young Vietnamese talents as finance mentors and enabling them to share knowledge across their communities, we have confirmed that corporate social responsibility can grow beyond short-term support into a sustainable development model. Hanwha Life will continue to expand innovative programs under its global CSR platform “Future Plus” to provide tangible assistance to financially vulnerable groups.”
