Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. speaks during the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, where leaders discussed regional energy security and shared fuel reserves. (Photo: The Laotian Times)
Leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are discussing a regional fuel reserve system following recent oil supply disruptions linked to the Middle East conflict.
The bloc is also accelerating plans for a connected regional power grid to strengthen long-term energy security across Southeast Asia.
Speaking after the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said member states agreed on the need for emergency fuel reserves that could be shared during future crises, similar to ASEAN’s existing rice reserve mechanism.
The proposed system remains under discussion, including where fuel reserves would be stored and how member states would access emergency supplies during shortages.
Marcos said ASEAN countries are already securing additional fuel supplies through bilateral agreements with suppliers in Latin America and other regions. However, he stressed that the long-term solution lies in reducing dependence on fossil fuels and accelerating the transition toward alternative energy sources.
“Long term solution is moving away from fossil fuel and use alternative renewable sources like hydropower, solar power, even nuclear power,” he said.
Leaders also renewed calls to accelerate implementation of the ASEAN Power Grid, a long-standing regional plan to connect electricity networks across Southeast Asia and enable cross-border electricity trading.
“We have discussed connecting our power grids. Laos is already producing electricity that they export to their neighbors,” Marcos said.
ASEAN Power Grid
First proposed in 1999, the ASEAN Power Grid aims to strengthen energy security, improve regional connectivity, and support the integration of renewable energy sources across ASEAN’s nearly 700 million people.
The recent discussions place Laos in an increasingly strategic position within ASEAN’s future energy plans.
Hydropower currently accounts for around 83 percent of Laos’ primary energy supply, and the country already exports electricity to Thailand, Vietnam, and others through regional trading arrangements.
One of the most significant projects is the Laos–Thailand–Malaysia–Singapore Power Integration Project, ASEAN’s first multilateral cross-border electricity trading system. It transmits up to 200 MW of Lao hydropower to Singapore through Thailand and Malaysia.
The project currently exports up to 100 megawatts of electricity to Singapore, with a second phase signed earlier this year expected to double capacity.
ASEAN leaders are also pushing for the expedited ratification of the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Petroleum Security, which would allow member states to support one another during fuel shortages.
The renewed focus on regional energy cooperation follows recent fuel shortages across parts of Southeast Asia, where reduced fuel imports and rising global oil prices disrupted transport, businesses, and daily life earlier this year.
While no official timeline has been announced for the regional fuel reserve system, Marcos said ASEAN leaders were determined to avoid delays.
“I’m very optimistic. We will not be wasting time with a bureaucratic monster,” he said.
Why Shanghai Is the Heart of China’s Medical Device Supply Chain Industry

Register today to claim your free pass, explore groundbreaking manufacturing solutions, and connect with the industry leaders driving healthcare technology forward.
The Strategic Advantage of Shanghai’s Infrastructure
When international buyers look for reliable manufacturing partners, physical logistics play a massive role in their decision. Shanghai boasts some of the most advanced commercial infrastructure on the planet, making it the undeniable center of the medical device industry.
As a premier international transit hub, the city offers dense global flight networks and highly streamlined business visa processing. This makes travel incredibly convenient for international engineering and procurement teams conducting facility audits. Beyond passenger travel, the city manages the world’s busiest container port. This unparalleled shipping capacity means raw materials flow into local factories quickly, and finished medical components export to global markets without delay. For a medical device company, this dense infrastructure translates directly into faster turnaround times and highly predictable project deadlines.
A Deeply Integrated Manufacturing Ecosystem
Shanghai does not operate in isolation. It anchors the Yangtze River Delta, a massive industrial region universally recognized for its high-tech manufacturing capabilities. This geographic positioning creates a tightly knit supply chain where every single step of medical device creation is easily accessible within a short driving distance.
When you source your components from this specific region, you tap into a highly concentrated pool of industrial resources. This local ecosystem offers immediate access to:
Advanced Material Suppliers: Producing biocompatible metals, advanced ceramics, and highly durable medical-grade polymers.
Precision Machining Centers: Offering super-precision laser cutting, 3D additive manufacturing, and micro-component molding.
Smart Factory Integrators: Building automated assembly lines, robotic drive controls, and intelligent visual inspection cameras.
Elite Engineering Talent: Drawing from world-class local universities to supply top-tier biomedical engineers and material scientists.
This deep integration allows contract manufacturers to control their entire production process. They do not rely on fragile international shipping networks to secure their base plastics or metals. This localized control drastically reduces your exposure to global supply chain shocks.
How Medtec Shanghai Drives the Industry Forward
To leverage this immense industrial capability, international buyers need a centralized platform to meet and vet potential partners. Attending Medtec Shanghai provides this exact focus. The exhibition acts as the beating heart of the region’s medical manufacturing sector, pulling the best local suppliers into one centralized location.
Instead of spending weeks navigating complex industrial parks across the region, your procurement team can evaluate hundreds of top-tier suppliers in a single afternoon. The event meticulously organizes these vendors into specific engineering pavilions. You can physically inspect sterile packaging, test the flexibility of extrusion tubing, and review the quality control certifications of contract manufacturers directly on the show floor.
Furthermore, when companies send their entire engineering and sourcing teams to the event, they can divide and conquer these pavilions to solve multiple complex sourcing challenges simultaneously.
Meeting Global Quality and Compliance Standards
The medical device industry operates under incredibly strict international regulations. A supplier’s manufacturing speed means nothing if their components fail a safety audit. Over the years, Shanghai has evolved to meet and exceed these global compliance frameworks.
Local suppliers heavily invest in advanced metrology equipment, cleanroom technologies, and compliance management software. Because they operate out of a major international export hub, these manufacturers fully understand critical international standards, including ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines. This alignment ensures that the components you source from this region will seamlessly pass your internal quality audits and keep your product launches perfectly on schedule.
Secure Your Supply Chain Advantage
Shanghai provides the perfect combination of logistical power, engineering talent, and massive manufacturing scale. By tapping into this dynamic local ecosystem, you position your brand to build safer, more reliable, and highly competitive medical devices.
Take the proactive step to upgrade your manufacturing capabilities. Review your upcoming project needs, gather your technical specifications, and register for the exhibition today. Step onto the show floor at the Shanghai New International Expo Center and build the robust partnerships necessary to lead the global medical device market.
XI’AN, China, May 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — As generative AI moves from experimentation to enterprise deployment, the industry focus is shifting from model capability to operational reliability. The challenge is no longer simply building smarter AI, but ensuring AI systems can operate safely and consistently inside complex production environments.
eclicktech recently shared its internal engineering practices around Agentic AI, highlighting how the company is applying context engineering, multi-cloud infrastructure, and layered security frameworks to support enterprise-scale AI deployment.
To support global operations across more than 230 countries and regions, eclicktech built its Cycor platform around a multi-cloud architecture integrating AWS, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Huawei Cloud, and other providers. According to the company, this approach improves infrastructure flexibility, reduces vendor lock-in risk, and enables more efficient orchestration of large-scale Kubernetes clusters and AI workloads.
eclicktech stated that one of the key lessons from early Agent development was that prompt engineering alone was insufficient for enterprise deployment. The company therefore shifted toward context engineering — an approach focused on delivering the right information, at the right time, while optimizing limited token resources.
Its engineering framework includes six layers of context management covering active sessions, short-term memory, long-term semantic storage, knowledge graphs, operational experience, and reusable organizational skills. The system also supports proactive context injection, allowing relevant operational history and risk information to be surfaced automatically before sensitive actions are executed.
To improve inference efficiency, eclicktech introduced layered token governance and progressive tool-loading mechanisms, dynamically loading tools and information only when required. The company said this approach helped improve tool selection accuracy and reduce unnecessary token consumption during complex operational workflows.
Security remains a core requirement throughout the architecture. eclicktech’s governance framework includes namespace isolation, dry-run verification, human approval workflows, rule-based validation, and rollback mechanisms designed to reduce operational risks associated with AI-driven automation.
According to eclicktech, the next stage of enterprise AI competition will depend not only on model capability, but also on engineering reliability, infrastructure orchestration, context management, and organizational knowledge systems.

SINGAPORE, May 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Casual, hyper-casual, and hybrid-casual games have become dominant categories in the global mobile market, making in-app advertising (IAA) a key driver of monetization success. However, many developers continue to face major challenges, including unstable fill rates, fluctuating eCPMs, difficulties balancing multiple regional markets, and the ongoing tradeoff between user experience and revenue growth.
To address these issues, zMaticoo has compiled a series of monetization case studies from leading game publishers and studios across China, Vietnam, Europe, and North America. These teams span hyper-casual, puzzle, board, card, and light-casual game categories, with DAUs ranging from millions to tens of millions. By adopting the same monetization framework, they achieved simultaneous growth in fill rate, eCPM, and ad revenue while maintaining stable user experience.
A common challenge among these teams was the shrinking monetization margin across global markets, creating an urgent need for sustainable revenue growth. At the same time, developers were cautious about over-monetization negatively impacting retention and player engagement.
To solve these challenges, zMaticoo introduced an AI-driven monetization system with full-funnel optimization capabilities. The platform connects developers directly to premium global advertiser budgets across both performance and brand advertising. AI models identify high-value traffic in real time based on region, audience, and usage scenarios, prioritizing high-eCPM demand sources. Separate bidding strategies are applied for mature and emerging markets to avoid revenue loss caused by one-size-fits-all pricing models.
The platform also provides refined ad format optimization:
Banner Ads: optimized display share and loading timing to improve SOV and stabilize eCPM;
Interstitial Ads: precisely triggered during high-value moments such as level completion or pause screens, with especially strong premiums in emerging markets;
Rewarded Video: deeply integrated into gameplay loops, delivering high user acceptance and conversion performance.
On the technical side, zMaticoo optimized SDK infrastructure to improve fill stability under weak network conditions. Ad loading time was reduced from five seconds to under two seconds through a rebuilt loading architecture. Progressive asset loading further minimized timeout-related drop-offs. AI-powered ad templates dynamically generated personalized creatives, improving both CTR and conversion performance.
The zMaticoo team also provides one-stop operational and analytics support. Developers can monitor fill rate, impressions, eCPM, and revenue through a unified dashboard, while dedicated optimization specialists provide 7×12 support for A/B testing, strategy iteration, and scaling guidance. The platform is deeply integrated with major mediation solutions, enabling one-time integration and multi-scenario deployment while reducing development and maintenance costs.
According to zMaticoo platform data:
In mature markets including the United States, Germany, Japan, and South Korea, banner eCPMs increased by 5%–10%, while interstitial premiums improved by over 5%;
In emerging markets such as Brazil, Mexico, and Southeast Asia, interstitial eCPMs increased by more than 10%.
The monetization framework has demonstrated effectiveness across hyper-casual, puzzle, board/card, and utility app categories, supporting both rapid scale-up and long-term monetization stability.
Partner feedback includes:
“We are highly satisfied with the revenue uplift after integration. Our core products’ banner performance now ranks among the top tier.”
“Revenue recovered significantly after A/B testing, and we are expanding testing across more products.”
“One solution now supports multiple global markets without requiring separate monetization strategies for each region.”
“Interstitial monetization performance has been especially strong, with SOV reaching 10%–20% for several partners.”
zMaticoo believes successful monetization today is not about stacking more ad platforms, but about leveraging AI, technology, and refined operations to unlock long-term traffic value. Whether for hyper-casual publishers, puzzle game studios, or global mobile app companies, this AI-powered monetization framework is designed to deliver sustainable revenue growth while preserving user experience.
