Press review: FAW Trucks Global Partners Conference

BEIJING, Dec. 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Press news from www.Chinatrucks.org The sea is vast because it can hold a hundred rivers. For a brand to become world-class, it must have sufficient sales and a good reputation in the international market.

FAW Trucks Global Partners Conference

The sea is vast because it can hold a hundred rivers. Recently, the 2026 Global Partner Conference of FAW TRUCKS was held in Chengdu, clearly stating that it will fully build a technological FAW TRUCKS, a green FAW TRUCKS and an international FAW TRUCKS, and promote the leapfrog new development of the enterprise. Obviously, international FAW TRUCKS will be implemented as one of the three core strategies for the future of liberation. For a brand to become world-class, it must have sufficient sales and a good reputation in the international market.

In fact, at this annual meeting, FAW TRUCKS not only set up an international exhibition hall separately, but also organized a grand overseas partner conference, and officially released the core brand architecture that supports FAW Trucks towards the future for the international strategy. They are the five overseas product brands of CORTRON, DORTRON, LITRON, PITRON and BOTRON. Each brand is both independent and closely coordinated, jointly forming a complete and three-dimensional brand matrix of FAW TRUCKS, ensuring that in every market segment, the most focused value commitment can be provided.

There is no doubt that these actions have already demonstrated that the overseas efforts of FAW TRUCKS are no longer what they used to be. Instead, they are resolute in will and determination, with no room for error.

Obviously, the FAW TRUCKS strategy is a comprehensive consideration by FAW TRUCKS based on multiple factors such as the market, brand, technology and policy. It aims to achieve high-quality development of the enterprise through a global layout and consolidate its leading position in the global commercial vehicle field.

It is reported that the power of international FAW TRUCKS is gradually emerging. Taking this year as an example, FAW TRUCKS’s total vehicle sales for the whole year were approximately 260,000 units, with overseas sales exceeding 60,000 units, accounting for about 23% of its total overseas sales.

In 2026, Jiefang plans to achieve a total vehicle sales volume of 320,000 units, with an overseas sales target of 80,000 units, and the proportion of overseas sales is expected to be 24%. By 2030, in accordance with FAW TRUCKS’s “Sprint2030” internationalization strategy, the global sales target is 500,000 units, and the overseas sales plan is to reach 180,000 units. At that time, the proportion of overseas sales will increase to 36%. There is no doubt that the weight of international FAW TRUCKS is increasing year by year.

In 2026, FAW TRUCKS will focus on six core sectors and comprehensively deepen global cooperation. Ignite market buzz with more precise brand narratives, advance into niche markets with a richer product matrix, consolidate win-win forces with more compatible incentive mechanisms, solidify the foundation of after-sales services with a higher-quality service system, solve financing problems with more flexible financial solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of international strategies with a higher-quality delivery system.

At present, the global commercial vehicle industry is undergoing profound changes towards new energy, intelligence and networking. The internationalization strategy enables Jiefang to absorb international advanced technologies and concepts more extensively, accelerate its own technological upgrading and innovation, and at the same time seize the commanding heights in emerging fields such as new energy and intelligent driving in the global market, enhancing its adaptability and competitiveness in the process of industry transformation.

Born into the world, unrivaled. The upgrading and implementation of the international FAW TRUCKS strategy is not only a vivid footnote to FAW TRUCKS’s continuous self-innovation, but also an action guide for FAW TRUCKS to move towards becoming a world-class brand. The future is here and the path ahead is promising. We believe that with the in-depth implementation of this strategy, FAW TRUCKS will shine even brighter and achieve even greater success in the future. XJTLU launches immersive dome cinema

SUZHOU, China, Dec. 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — On 18 December 2025, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU)’s Academy of Film and Creative Technology officially launched its immersive dome cinema, as well as kicked off the fifth MEGA International Creative Media Festival, and announced the establishment of the International Immersive Media Creation Alliance.

Together, the three initiatives mark a significant step in advancing immersive media education, creative practice, and industry collaboration at the University.

A key highlight of the day was the opening of the immersive dome cinema at XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang). Featuring an 18m-diameter dome with 8K resolution imagery and a fully enveloping sound system, the space offers a highly immersive digital environment.

The cinema is equipped with a self-illuminating LED display, providing a 110°×180° wraparound field of view.

Professor Qian Liu, Dean of the Academy of Film and Creative Technology, said: “The immersive display environment enables abstract ideas that were previously difficult to convey to become intuitive and tangible. As a facility at the international forefront and a pioneering initiative within higher education, the dome cinema will provide an important platform for cross-disciplinary teaching, research, and creative practice.”

Professor Youmin Xi, Executive President of XJTLU, added that the dome cinema introduces a new spatial paradigm for creative expression, enabling staff and students to explore a deeper relationship between humans and technology.

Held alongside the launch of the dome cinema, the fifth MEGA International Creative Media Festival was themed “Immersion”. Focusing on film, digital media arts and creative technology, the festival provided an international platform for exchange through screenings, competitions, and a themed summit.

New categories for AI-generated content and short-form video were introduced this year. The festival received 1,384 submissions from 14 countries and regions, representing a 67% increase compared with the previous edition and marking a record high. Fourteen teams and individual creators were recognised with awards. The opening ceremony livestream attracted more than 2.07 million views, reflecting the festival’s growing international reach.

The themed summit, titled “Immersive Future: Scene Revolution and Value Innovation Driven by Immersive Media”, brought together experts from universities, industry, and creative institutions to discuss how immersive technologies are reshaping content creation, spatial experience and future application scenarios.

On the same day, the International Immersive Media Creation Alliance, initiated by the Academy of Film and Creative Technology, was officially established.

Global Runners Gather on Scenic Seaside Route at the 2025 Hainan (Sanya) Marathon

SANYA, China, Dec. 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The 7th Hainan (Sanya) Marathon got underway at 7:00 a.m. local time on December 28 from the South Gate of the Sanya Beauty Crown. The event drew athletes from 19 countries and regions worldwide, as well as participants from all 34 provinces and provincial-level regions across China, bringing the field to 14,000 runners. Nearly 68 percent of participants traveled from outside the Hainan Free Trade Port to compete.

Running as Discovery: Where Tropical Landscapes Meet Local Character

This year’s race retained its signature course design, starting at the South Gate of the Sanya Beauty Crown, with the full marathon finishing at Sanya Bay Coastal Park and the half marathon at Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area. The route wove through Sanya’s coastal urban core. Alongside the individual full and half marathon races, the event included team competitions and a “Running Hand-in-Hand to Tianya Haijiao” couples category. Total award funds exceeded 500,000 yuan, distributed across six categories for individual placements, course records, Hainan Free Trade Port-based athletes, couples, teams, and other notable performances.

Extensive safety measures were in place, featuring 253 medical staff, 100 automated external defibrillator (AED) units, 26 ambulances, and three designated hospitals, forming a three-tier system of fixed medical posts, mobile patrols, and route coverage. More than 3,500 personnel managed security and race operations, supported by hydration stations and mobile facilities along the course.

Building a Connected Sports Community

Digital engagement was a central feature of this year’s marathon. The organizer issued 30,000 limited-edition digital commemorative medals, each secured by blockchain technology, offering participants a permanent, verifiable record. Runners could claim their medals through Alipay’s Jingtan and Ledongli services. An accompanying virtual race was also hosted on Alipay, DingTalk, and Amap, generating an average of 4 million daily impressions and attracting over 27,000 participants, linking physical competition with digital participation.

Yang Yong, General Manager of Events and Commercialization at event partner Orange Lion Sports (formerly Alibaba Sports), said, “The marathon supports Hainan’s growth as an international tourism and consumer destination. By connecting resources across the Alibaba ecosystem, we broadened the event’s reach and brought together a global community of runners—both on the ground and online—through integrated digital experiences. Together, we celebrated running and reinforced Sanya’s appeal as a sports and tourism destination.”

NANCHANG, China, Dec. 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — A report from Jiangxi International Communication Center (JXICC): On December 24, the Jiangxi International Friendship Cities Children’s Art Exhibition, themed “Harmony Between Humanity and Nature — The Beautiful World Through My Eyes”, opened in Nanchang, east China’s Jiangxi Province. Jiangxi Int’l Friendship Cities Children’s Art Exhibition opens in Nanchang, Jiangxi

The exhibition received overwhelmingly positive feedback from audiences. Massimo Maria Bosisio from Italy remarked, “Seeing how children represent the way that nature is perceived by them brings me back to the times when I was a child myself and the innocence that comes with experience in nature.” He also noted that using art as a medium to symbolize how humanity should revere nature is of vital importance, and that the significance of nature to human development and sustainable development must not be overlooked.

Takudzwa Kahwiti Duncan from Zimbabwe resonated deeply with the exhibited works, stating, “Just as what they said, when we take care of nature, nature also takes care of us, so this is the core sense of this whole gallery of this whole event.”

Since its launch, the event has attracted hundreds of submissions from multiple countries and regions. Following the professional evaluation, the selected works stand out for their vibrant colors and creative concepts, reflecting children’s diverse perspectives on the ecological environment across different cultural backgrounds.

By using paintings as a medium, the exhibition not only promotes cross-cultural communication but also transforms a shared vision of sustainable development into a tangible experience.

BUV partners with Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange to support Asian talent mobility

HANOI, Vietnam, Dec. 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — British University Vietnam (BUV) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), under China’s Ministry of Education, aimed at strengthening cooperation in education and academic exchange between Vietnam and China.

The agreement was signed by Professor Rick Bennett, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of BUV, and Xia Jianhui, Deputy Director of CSCSE. The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training, CSCSE, and BUV.

Expanding cross-border education cooperation

The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration focused on international talent mobility, study-abroad support, and academic exchange within Asia. Under the agreement, the two institutions will work together to support students from China and other Asian countries through preparatory programs designed to strengthen academic readiness, language proficiency, and cultural understanding prior to enrollment in degree programs at BUV.

The partnership also provides opportunities for students to access innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, including China-based platforms and academic competitions. In addition, BUV students may participate in “Study in China” programs and short-term exchanges. The agreement also seeks to facilitate degree recognition and verification to support academic and professional mobility across borders.

As part of the cooperation, CSCSE will expand its outreach activities in Asia, with BUV supporting the promotion of “Study in China” initiatives and hosting education-related events in Vietnam.

According to Xia Jianhui, Vietnam is becoming an increasingly relevant destination for Chinese students seeking internationally oriented education within the region. He said the partnership with BUV is intended to provide students with additional study pathways while supporting bilateral educational cooperation.

Professor Rick Bennett said the agreement reflects BUV’s intention to expand regional academic partnerships. He noted that combining CSCSE’s study-abroad services network with BUV’s British-accredited programs could broaden access to international education opportunities for students across Asia.

Quality assurance and degree recognition

CSCSE, which operates under China’s Ministry of Education, supports international academic exchange, overseas study services, and qualification verification for Chinese students.

BUV has previously been recognized by China’s Ministry of Education as an accredited foreign university and is listed on CSCSE’s official platform. As a result, degrees awarded by BUV are formally recognized by Chinese authorities. This enables BUV graduates seeking further study or employment in China to verify their qualifications through CSCSE.

BUV stated that this recognition aligns with its Triple Quality Assurance framework, which benchmarks institutional quality at local, national, and international levels. The university is accredited by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training and has received institutional accreditation from the U.K.’s Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA). BUV also maintains a QS 5-Star rating across multiple categories.

Regional education pathways

Recent changes in major study-abroad destinations such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada, including higher tuition fees and stricter visa requirements, have prompted some students to consider alternative education pathways within Asia. Transnational education models, such as British-accredited programs delivered in Vietnam, offer regional options with international recognition.

BUV was established in 2009 as a foreign-invested university and partners with U.K. institutions to deliver British degree programs. These include University of London programs with academic direction from the London School of Economics and Political Science. In 2025, BUV was designated an International Partner of the University of London.

According to publicly available estimates, the cost of completing a three-year University of London degree in the U.K. can exceed US$170,000, including tuition and living expenses. BUV said the same qualification completed in Vietnam typically involves lower overall costs, partly due to reduced tuition and living expenses.

Yinglu Guo, a student from Shenzhen currently studying at BUV, said the program offered an opportunity to pursue a British degree while remaining closer to home.

BUV has also received international recognition related to student experience and admissions processes. The university is located within the Ecopark township near Hanoi and operates a campus with sustainability certification, on-campus services, and student support facilities.

BUV said it will continue to expand partnerships with international institutions and invest in academic programs and infrastructure as part of its long-term development strategy.
