Bybit Expands MNT Capabilities for Institutional Clients

DUBAI, UAE, Sept. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Bybit, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, is excited to announce an exclusive institutional benefits program unlocking premium trading and lending capabilities for institutional clients who are Mantle (MNT) holders. The new utility marks another stage of MNT’s evolution from ecosystem token to highly efficient and versatile asset, unlocking exclusive benefits for Bybit’s institutional traders.

Bybit Institutional’s onboarding of MNT transforms how clients interact with MNT across Bybit’s platform, delivering enhanced leverage, extended loan terms, and premium trading features. Part of the Bybit x MNT Roadmap, the integration will be effective as of September 20, 2025 for eligible clients.

Bybit Institutional Exclusive: MNT-Powered Professional Trading

What began as Mantle’s native token now drives institutional engagement across Bybit’s ecosystem. The program further embeds MNT deeper into institutional trading infrastructure and wealth management strategies while complementing existing retail-focused MNT features, creating pathways for traders of all appetites to leverage the token’s growing utility ecosystem.

Key Benefits for Bybit Institutional Clients:

  1. Enhanced Leverage Access: Institutional clients who pledge MNT unlock significantly higher leverage across Bybit’s trading products. Spot margin trading scales up to 8x leverage, while perpetual pairs receive enhanced leverage up to 5x on USDT pairs. For institutional loans, leverage can reach up to 10x on USDT and USDC, with benefits scaling directly with MNT pledge amounts.
  2. Extended Fixed-Rate Loan Terms: By committing larger amounts of MNT, institutions gain access to longer fixed-term loan rates, providing greater stability and planning capabilities. The tiered structure offers 2-month terms for 500K MNT pledges, 3-month terms for 1M MNT, and 4-month terms for commitments of 1.5M MNT and above.

The program features a straightforward activation process designed for institutional efficiency: clients acquire MNT through Bybit’s spot trading, Convert services, or OTC desk, notify their relationship manager after pledging, and receive benefit activation on the following business day through the issuance of MMNT tokens.

Built on Mantle’s next-generation Ethereum Layer-2 architecture that delivers high performance and reduced gas fees, MNT has evolved from ecosystem token to essential blockchain infrastructure. With a thriving ecosystem spanning DeFi, GameFi, and Real World Assets, MNT’s expanding utility across Bybit demonstrates its growing role in bridging institutional finance with decentralized technology.

Hong Kong: A rising international hub where talent and innovation converge

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 10 September 2025 – Not only is Hong Kong a key player in the world’s leading innovation cluster, the city is also shooting up the charts as a global hub for top talent, according to the latest world rankings.

Hong Kong’s outstanding performance in the World Talent Ranking 2025 and Global Innovation Index 2025 is clear testament to its efforts in education, innovation and technology (I&T), and talent admission.
Hong Kong’s outstanding performance in the World Talent Ranking 2025 and Global Innovation Index 2025 is clear testament to its efforts in education, innovation and technology (I&T), and talent admission.

Hong Kong vaulted five places from ninth last year to secure fourth spot globally in the World Talent Ranking 2025, published by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) on September 9, marking the city’s highest-ever ranking and ranking first in Asia.

For the second consecutive year, Hong Kong improved across all three talent competitiveness factors of the IMD survey. Hong Kong jumped eight places to 20th for “Appeal” and rose by one place for both “Readiness” and “Investment and Development” to third and 12th respectively.

The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), John Lee, said it was a clear testament to the HKSAR Government’s enhanced efforts in education and talent development.

“The World Talent Ranking recognises Hong Kong’s outstanding academic achievement, ranking us first in the indicator ‘Graduates in Sciences’.

“Hong Kong is the only city in the globe with as many as five universities in the world’s top 100. Our excellent institutions nurture world-class scientists and research talent in different disciplines,” Mr Lee said.

Leveraging that strength, Hong Kong is fast rising as an innovation and technology hub, he added.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong is among the five local universities in the world's top 100. Hong Kong's excellent institutions nurture world-class scientists and research talent.

The Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Guangzhou innovation cluster, located in Southern China, topped the world – for the first time – in the World Intellectual Property Organization’s annual Global Innovation Index (GII), announced just last week (September 1), moving ahead of Tokyo-Yokohama in Japan for the first time.

This reflects the high international recognition of the innovative capacity of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), signalling that Hong Kong is an ideal place for global I&T talent to develop their careers.

The GII ranking identifies local concentrations of world-class innovation activity using three key metrics: international patent filings via WIPO’s Patent Cooperation Treaty, scientific publications and the number of venture capital deals.

The Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Guangzhou cluster topped the ranking, filing 2 292 Patent Cooperation Treaty applications, publishing 3 775 scientific articles, and making 135 venture capital deals per one million inhabitants over the last five years.

Fast-tracking I&T development has been a policy priority of the HKSAR Government, which has rolled out a series of initiatives to ensure that technology, capital and talent reinforce one another, as well as expediting co-operation and collaboration with our GBA sister cities, so as to press ahead with the development of Hong Kong into an international I&T centre.

Experienced Handler Dies After Lions Attack in Front of Zoo Visitors

Five lions attacked a zoo staff member "Jian Rangkarasamee" in Bangkok, who rescuers rushed to the hospital but later passed away.

A veteran zookeeper was fatally mauled by lions at an open zoo in Bangkok around 11:00 a.m. on 10 September. The victim, Jian Rangkarasamee, had over 20 years of experience working in wildlife.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the man stepped out of a vehicle inside the lion enclosure. After turning his back, reportedly to pick up something he had dropped, one lion, positioned approximately 10 meters away, launched a sudden attack, dragging him to the ground and biting him. Within moments, three to four additional lions joined in and began mauling him.

Numerous tourists were present at the time. Eyewitnesses said they initially mistook the interaction for play, assuming the lions were familiar with the staff. Some honked their car horns and shouted in alarm, but none intervened, believing the situation might not be dangerous. The attack reportedly lasted for about 15 minutes

Zoo staff then secured all animals in their enclosures. Jian was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Nirutchaphon Yothamat stated that Jian had entered the lion enclosure to feed the animals without following established safety protocols, which contributed to the fatal incident, according to local media reports.

The lion exhibit features a large, fenced drive-through area, where strict rules prohibit visitors from opening windows or exiting their vehicles.

Zoo staff routinely monitor the area, and feeding demonstrations are occasionally conducted under supervision.

Authorities have summoned zoo staff for questioning as investigations continue into the exact circumstances of the incident. Meanwhile, officials from the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) are inspecting the lions to verify their legal status and ensure compliance with wildlife regulations..

REBUILDING TRUST, ENHANCING INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES KEY TO THAILAND’S CAPITAL MARKET GROWTH: CMDF, OLIVER WYMAN

BANGKOK, Sept. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Thailand Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF) and Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting and a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE:MMC), today unveiled their joint whitepaper Developing The Thai Capital Market Towards An International Financial Hub, which underscores Thailand’s vision to position the nation as a prominent international financial center.

Commissioned by CMDF and developed by Oliver Wyman, the strategic report highlights Thailand’s position as one of Southeast Asia’s largest equity markets by capitalization and initial public offering volume, supported by a sizeable bond market. However, five priority areas must be addressed to elevate the country’s capital market proposition for global investors: global branding and visibility, supportive policy environment, infrastructure and connectivity, attractiveness of capital market assets, and domestic institutional investor base.

Juckchai Boonyawat, President of CMDF, stated, “The whitepaper underscores Thailand’s strong foundations as one of ASEAN’s largest equity and bond markets, while outlining that these five priority areas need to be strengthened to attract global investors to the Thai capital market. CMDF is committed to working with regulators and market participants to advance these priorities, positioning Thailand’s capital market as a trusted, competitive, and internationally integrated hub that supports the nation’s long-term prosperity.

Three cornerstones were identified to guide Thailand’s capital market transformation:

Rebuild confidence and visibility: Elevate Thailand’s global reputation through targeted promotion, improved credit ratings and coverage, and enhanced anti-money laundering safeguards in its special financial zone.

Remove frictions and expand access: Tackle existing capital flow constraints by developing an efficient, wider ecosystem that involves growing a future-ready workforce, fostering a supportive regulatory environment, diversifying product variety, optimizing connectivity with other markets, refining the issuer framework, upgrading financial infrastructure and intermediary operations, growing domestic institutional investors, among others.

Offer attractive investment opportunities: Focus on providing distinctive investment propositions in overseas wealth management, digital assets, and sustainable finance to attract new pools of capital.

“Our report with CMDF provides a comprehensive list of policy options that spans across improved governance, streamlined regulation, and potential initiatives to make Thailand a preferred destination for global capital. Thailand’s strategic focus on developing a robust, integrated, and internationally attractive capital market is a testament to its commitment to economic growth and regional leadership,” said Hyunseung (Henry) Cho, Partner and Head of Thailand at Oliver Wyman.

Anchored on these three cornerstones, the report noted that achieving Thailand’s vision as a global financial hub requires coordinated action across market operators, intermediaries, issuers, and investors — underpinned by predictable, internationally aligned frameworks, and modern infrastructure. Progress should adhere to a phased roadmap with clear milestones, transparent monitoring, and the flexibility to adapt to evolving global conditions.

Developing The Thai Capital Market Towards An International Financial Hub was launched at a public seminar hosted by CMDF and Oliver Wyman on September 10 in Bangkok. Graced by Juckchai Boonyawat, President of CMDF, the event drew capital market leaders, regulators, academics, investors, and professionals from Thailand’s financial services industry.
