METALIGHT (02605.HK): Co-Authored Research Paper Accepted to the Applied Data Science Track of KDD 2026

HONG KONG, June 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — MetaLight Inc. (“MetaLight” or the “Company”; Stock Code: 02605.HK), a public transit information service provider powered by time series data analytics and AI technology, today announced that a peer-reviewed research paper co-authored with Peking University and other institutions has been accepted to the Applied Data Science (ADS) Track of KDD 2026. Titled “A Data-driven Route Segmentation Framework for Time-of-Arrival Estimation Service,” the paper’s authors are affiliated with Peking University, MetaLight HK Limited (a member of the Group) and other institutions, and its first author is from Peking University; the Company’s Chairman and CEO, Dr. Sun Xi, is a co-author. It addresses route segmentation — a previously underexplored step in bus arrival-time estimation (ETA); the Company’s team, drawing on its Chelaile platform, provided the real-world data and the online deployment environment for the work.

KDD (the ACM SIGKDD Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining), organized by ACM SIGKDD, is rated a Class A recommended conference by the China Computer Federation (CCF) and will be held in Jeju, South Korea, from August 9 to 13, 2026. Accepted in the track’s second review cycle (Cycle Two), the paper will be included in the proceedings and presented at the conference by its authors.

In bus ETA, a route is typically divided into segments using predefined markers such as intersections, with traffic data aggregated accordingly. Coarse segmentation can blur fine-grained differences in traffic conditions along the same route and constrain prediction accuracy. The research instead draws on large-scale, fine-grained vehicle trajectory data to segment routes so that each segment corresponds to a relatively stable traffic regime, characterizing real traffic variation along a route more precisely.

In offline evaluations covering over a thousand routes and more than a million trajectories, the method outperformed commonly used route-segmentation strategies. In a one-week online evaluation on the Chelaile service across two cities, it reduced storage usage by approximately 90% and CPU usage by approximately 25% at comparable prediction accuracy.

Prior ETA research has focused largely on the prediction model itself, with less attention to how a route is segmented and how its data is organized; this work indicates that this step is just as important to prediction accuracy and operational efficiency. In the Company’s bus ETA service, the approach has materially lowered storage and compute requirements at comparable accuracy, making the large-scale online service lighter to run.

Beyond the work accepted to KDD 2026, MetaLight has in recent years also co-authored papers in temporal point processes (with Renmin University of China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Fudan University, accepted to AAAI 2026) and model merging (with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, accepted to IJCNN 2025).

A representative of MetaLight said, “This work benefited from the collaboration of our team with Peking University and other partners. We care more about whether technology solves concrete problems in real-world settings, and we also hope to foster an internal culture of active learning and continuous evolution; we will keep building our foundational technology steadily, through long-term investment and collaboration.”

  • 500,000-1 million people are estimated to be living with FSGS in the territories[1]
  • Dimerix eligible to receive upfront and potential success-based milestone payments of up to ~AU$481[2] million, plus royalties
    • US$10 million (~AU$14.1 million2) upfront payment
    • Up to US$330 million (~AU$467 million2) in potential milestone payments
    • Tiered royalties on net sales
  • Everest is the fifth license deal executed for DMX-200 following the license deals with Advanz Pharma (announced October 2023)[3], Taiba Rare (announced May 2024)[4], Fuso Pharmaceutical Industries (announced 7 January 2025)[5], and Amicus Therapeutics (announced 1 May 2025, now BioMarin)[6]; with over AU$65 million having been received prior to the Everest transaction
  • Collectively across the 5 transactions, Dimerix may be eligible to receive up to ~AU$1.9 billion[7] in aggregate total upfront and potential milestone payments, plus additional royalties on net sales
  • DMX-200 is in a pivotal Phase 3 trial for FSGS, a rare and serious kidney disease with no approved therapies across these regions
  • The ACTION3 Phase 3 clinical trial is fully recruited, with patients enrolled across 21 countries, including Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Taiwan region, Thailand and Malaysia
  • Everest will leverage its specialty kidney disease expertise and commercial platform to register and commercialise DMX-200, offering greater patient access to the growing Asian markets
  • Dimerix retains all rights to DMX-200 in all other unlicensed territories

MELBOURNE, Australia, June 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Dimerix Limited (ASX: DXB, “Dimerix”) today announced that it has entered into an exclusive license agreement with Everest Medicines for the commercialisation of Dimerix’s Phase 3 drug candidate DMX-200 for all indications including FSGS, in Greater China (Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR and Taiwan region), South Korea and certain Southeast Asian countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Philippines). Dimerix retains all rights to commercialise DMX-200 in all territories other than those already exclusively licensed.

DMX-200 is a small molecule inhibitor of the chemokine receptor 2 (CCR2) under development in a pivotal, Phase 3 study, ACTION3, for the treatment of Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS), a rare and serious kidney disease. The ACTION3 Phase 3 clinical trial adult cohort is fully recruited, with 333 patients, including patients in the licensed territories.

In early 2024, Dimerix reported positive interim results from the ACTION3 trial in FSGS, showing DMX-200 was performing better than placebo in reducing proteinuria at that time.[8] There have been no safety concerns to date following 8 reviews by the independent data monitoring committee, the most recent in June 2026. In April 2026, an external statistical blinded review of ACTION3 data achieved its objective by confirming that the study remains appropriately statistically powered (>90%) to demonstrate a treatment effect for the primary study endpoint of proteinuria; meaning that if DMX-200 continues to reduce proteinuria in trial patients as anticipated, then there is a >90% chance that the study will successfully show a statistically significant proteinuria treatment effect at the trial’s conclusion.[9]

“We are delighted to establish this partnership with Everest Medicines, a company with strong rare renal disease expertise and a proven track record in commercialising in Greater China, South Korea and certain Southeast Asian countries. Importantly, this collaboration significantly expands the potential reach of DMX-200 into a large and underserved patient population. Everest is well positioned to maximise the opportunity in the licensed regions, while allowing Dimerix to retain focus on progressing our global registrational program, delivering value for shareholders and providing real hope for patients with FSGS across the globe in need of treatment options.”

Dr Nina Webster, CEO & Managing Director, Dimerix

This collaboration with Dimerix marks an important step in advancing our strategic focus in kidney disease and further strengthening our innovative renal portfolio. Patients with FSGS in China have long faced significant unmet medical needs due to the lack of targeted treatment options. The positive interim results from the global pivotal Phase 3 study of DMX-200 underscore its potential to offer a meaningful new therapy for these patients.

Leveraging our proven expertise in clinical development and commercialisation, we are committed to accelerating access to DMX-200 in China and beyond and exploring other glomerulopathies. We look forward to working closely with Dimerix to bring this innovative therapy to more patients in need.”

Yifang Wu, Chairman of the Board, Everest Medicines

Dimerix will continue to fund and execute the ACTION3 study, and Everest will be responsible for supporting submission and maintenance of the regulatory dossier in the licensed territories, as well as all costs of commercialisation activities. Everest and Dimerix will form a Joint Steering Committee to align the development and commercialisation of DMX-200 in FSGS in the licensed territories. The agreement otherwise contains terms common for an arrangement of this kind.

In exchange for these rights, Dimerix is to receive a US$10 million (~AU$14.1 million[2]) upfront payment within 45 business days of execution. In total, Dimerix is eligible to receive potential success-based development and regulatory milestones payments of up to US$30 million (~AU$42.4 million[2]) and commercial milestone payments of up to US$300 million (~AU$424.4 million[2]), with tiered royalties on DMX-200 net sales of between 10-15% in Greater China, South Korea, and certain Southeast Asian countries. Note that milestone payments are not broken down further, as that can negatively influence negotiations of contracts in other territories currently under discussion, and thus remains commercial in confidence. All contracted financial terms are denominated in U.S. dollars.

Authorised for lodgement with ASX by the Board of Dimerix.

About ACTION3 Phase 3 Study
The Phase 3 study, which is titled “Angiotensin II Type 1 Receptor (AT1R) & Chemokine Receptor 2 (CCR2) Targets for Inflammatory Nephrosis”, or ACTION3 for short, is a pivotal (Phase 3), multi-centre, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of the efficacy and safety of DMX-200 in patients with FSGS who are receiving a stable dose of an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). Once the ARB dose is stable, patients will be randomized to receive either DMX-200 (120 mg capsule twice daily) or placebo.

The single Phase 3 trial in FSGS patients has two interim analysis points built in that are designed to capture evidence of proteinuria and kidney function (eGFR slope) during the trial, aimed at generating sufficient evidence to support marketing approval. Further information about the study can be found on ClinicalTrials.gov (Study Identifier: NCT05183646) or Australian New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry (ANZCTR) (Study Identifier ACTRN12622000066785).

About DMX-200
DMX-200 is a chemokine receptor (CCR2) antagonist administered to patients already receiving an angiotensin II type I receptor (AT1R) blocker, the standard of care treatment for hypertension and kidney disease. DMX-200 is protected by granted patents in various territories until 2032, with patent applications submitted globally that may extend patent protection to 2042, in addition to Orphan Drug Designation granted in the United States, Europe, UK and Japan[10].

About FSGS
FSGS is a serious kidney disorder characterised by progressive scarring (sclerosis) in parts of the glomeruli—the kidney’s filtering units. This scarring leads to proteinuria, progressive loss of kidney function, and often end-stage renal disease. The pathogenesis of FSGS is increasingly understood to have an inflammatory component, with monocyte and macrophage activation contributing to glomerular injury. In China, 500,000 to 1 million people[1] are estimated to be living with FSGS, including both adults and children. Management relies on non-specific immunosuppressive and supportive therapies in most countries around the world. In patients with progressive or treatment-resistant FSGS, the time from diagnosis to end-stage kidney disease can be as short as five years. Even among those with FSGS who undergo kidney transplantation, disease recurrence occurs in up to 60% of cases,[11] underscoring the urgent need for new disease-modifying treatments.

About Dimerix Limited
Dimerix (ASX: DXB) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company working to improve the lives of patients with inflammatory diseases, including kidney diseases. Dimerix is currently focused on developing its proprietary Phase 3 product candidate DMX-200, for Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) kidney disease. DMX-200 was identified using Dimerix’ proprietary assay, Receptor Heteromer Investigation Technology (Receptor-HIT), which is a scalable and globally applicable technology platform, enabling the understanding of receptor interactions to rapidly screen and identify new drug opportunities. Beijing Tong Ren Tang brings Chinese medicine to life with the launch of “The Tong Ren Extraordinary Journey”, a school outreach programme designed for primary school students

From campus-based learning to visits to a Chinese medicine production base, combining story-based learning with hands-on experience to bring students closer to TCM through fun and interactive engagement

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 16 June 2026 – Building on last year’s success, Beijing Tong Ren Tang’s “The Tong Ren Extraordinary Journey” school outreach programme has been further deepened and expanded this year. Evolving from in-school learning to a model that integrates and extends into off-campus activities, the programme combines school visits with tours of Beijing Tong Ren Tang’s production and R&D base, opening a new chapter in a comprehensive way and bringing students closer to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) through a lively and interactive engagement.

Two-stage learning: from in-school education to hands-on experience
Through a variety of interactive formats, “The Tong Ren Extraordinary Journey” offers students an engaging and knowledge-rich introduction to Chinese medicine. Designed around the concept of “from understanding to experience,” the programme combines in-school learning with off-campus visits to Beijing Tong Ren Tang’s production and R&D base. Activities include guided storytelling on the “Tong Ren” story, acupoint-based interactive games, and lively introductions to Chinese medicine culture and basic Chinese medicine knowledge, making the learning experience both enjoyable and informative. Students can also visit Beijing Tong Ren Tang’s production and R&D base in Tai Po, where they tour the museum, learn about the operation of the production line, and explore the Chinese Herbal Garden. In this way, students gain a well-rounded understanding of Chinese medicine and learn how it can be applied in daily life.

Herbal planting activities reinforce learning experience
A special feature of the programme is a planting experience in the Beijing Tong Ren Tang Chinese Herbal Garden. Guided by gardeners and instructors, students take part in a seedling transplanting activity, observing herbal plants up close and experiencing the planting process first-hand. This hands-on experience not only gives them a sense of achievement but also deepens their understanding of what they have learned. Through this enjoyable and educational activity, Chinese medicine culture is brought to life for the younger generation while supporting its preservation and continued development.

In-school learning: “The Tong Ren Extraordinary Journey” tutorial
During the school visits under “The Tong Ren Extraordinary Journey,” Chinese medicine practitioners and instructors each led nearly 100 students at a time through a lively one-hour session, using an easy-to-understand approach that combined storytelling and interactive games to explore Chinese medicine knowledge. Topics covered ranged from itinerant physicians to hall physicians, from the acupuncture bronze figure to the meridian system, and from the four diagnostic methods of Chinese medicine to its internal and external treatment approaches. Students were also introduced to Tong Ren Tang’s history of supplying imperial medicine, as well as Chinese medicine concepts such as monarch, minister, assistant and guide. These sessions helped students understand Chinese medicine in an accessible way, while interactive acupoint games further strengthened memory and comprehension through play.

Off-campus experience: visits to Beijing Tong Ren Tang’s production and R&D base
After completing the school visit component of “The Tong Ren Extraordinary Journey,” students also had the opportunity to visit and experience Beijing Tong Ren Tang’s production and R&D base in Hong Kong. During the guided tour, students gained a deeper understanding of the story of Tong Ren Tang, a time-honoured Chinese medicine brand, its imperial medicine tradition and its pharmaceutical culture, while revisiting the core beliefs it upholds: “cultivating benevolence and virtue, and promoting health for the benefit of society” and its corporate motto of “No compromise on cost and labour despite the complexity of processing herbal medicine. No compromise on quality and standard despite the scarcity of medicine ingredients.”

During the visit, students sampled herbal tea as an entry point to understanding Chinese herbs. They then learned about the Chinese medicine production process and took part in a workshop on the traditional pill-rolling technique, an item of intangible cultural heritage. This allowed them to translate theory into practical experience, and to understand how herbs are processed and prepared into medicinal materials for use. Through this, they learned about the development of Chinese medicine from ancient times to the present, as well as the evolution of different dosage forms. Students later moved to the Beijing Tong Ren Tang Chinese Herbal Garden for a herbal planting activity, where they learned how soil, water and sunlight affect plant growth.

Expanded to 20 primary schools, with a comic book supporting school-based extended reading
This year, “The Tong Ren Extraordinary Journey” expanded to 20 primary schools, reaching approximately 3,000 teachers and students in total. To complement the in-school curriculum and extended reading, Beijing Tong Ren Tang specially wrote and produced the comic book The World of Chinese Medicine – “The Tong Ren Extraordinary Journey”. Featuring the adorable “Little Tong Ren” as the main character and guide, the comic adopts a child-friendly narrative approach to help students understand the meaning of “Tong Ren” and “Tong Ren Tang,” the wisdom of balance emphasised in Chinese medicine culture, and its people-oriented spirit of benevolence and compassionate healing. Beijing Tong Ren Tang hopes that, through more interesting and approachable content formats, Chinese medicine culture can take root on campus and, through students’ reading and sharing, extend into families and communities as a cultural learning journey that can be passed on continuously.

Bringing Chinese medicine into everyday life
Beijing Tong Ren Tang hopes to foster a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment for students, introducing Chinese medicine step by step and encouraging them to share what they have learned with family and friends. By starting from a child’s perspective and focusing on themes such as meridians, herbs and balance, the programme helps integrating the wisdom of TCM into students’ everyday knowledge systems and encouraging them to share and apply these insights in daily life.

Magnus Carlsen Arrives in Hong Kong as the City Takes Centre Stage of the Chess World — for the First Time in History

The world’s greatest player makes his Hong Kong debut alongside American star Fabiano Caruana, Mongolia’s 34th Prime Minister H.E. Mr Zandanshatar Gombojav, WR Chess founder Wadim Rosenstein, and special guest World Championship Challenger Javokhir Sindarov, opening the first East Asian edition of the FIDE World Team Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships and turning Hong Kong into the global capital of chess this week.

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 16 June 2026 – The greatest chess player of all time has touched down in Hong Kong. Magnus Carlsen, the Norwegian grandmaster and undisputed World No. 1, today made his first official appearance in the city, headlining a star-studded press conference at Rosewood Hong Kong, Gallery 304, just 24 hours before the opening move of the FIDE World Team Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships 2026 — the first time in history this prestigious global event is being staged in East Asia.

Carlsen took the stage alongside the sport’s most magnetic names — American grandmaster and former World Championship challenger Fabiano Caruana; Uzbek prodigy Javokhir Sindarov, the official Challenger in the upcoming World Championship match; and H.E. Mr Zandanshatar Gombojav, the 34th Prime Minister of Mongolia — all teammates on WR Chess, the German-founded super-team competing this week at Queen Elizabeth Stadium.

It is a line-up the chess world has never seen sit shoulder to shoulder on one stage. And it is happening in Hong Kong.

A Historic First for East Asia

From 17–21 June at Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Wan Chai, the FIDE World Team Rapid & Blitz Chess Championships 2026 bring together over 300 elite players from more than 50 countries, all chasing a share of a €500,000 prize fund — and the title of the strongest team on the planet across the sport’s two most thrilling formats.

It is the first time the championship has ever been held in East Asia, an inflection point that places Hong Kong squarely at the centre of the global chess calendar and underscores the city’s standing as Asia’s premier host of world-class sporting and intellectual spectacle.

A Founder Who Plays His Own Game
The afternoon’s quietly extraordinary character was Wadim Rosenstein, the 35-year-old German entrepreneur behind WR Chess and Chairman of WR Group Holding, one of the fastest-rising private holding groups in the world. Having committed millions of euros of his personal wealth to elevating chess globally, Rosenstein is doing something almost unheard of at this level: he is playing himself, taking the U2000 board for WR Chess this week alongside Carlsen, Caruana, Sindarov, and H.E. Mr Zandanshatar Gombojav.

Bhd. and Mr Aaron Ng, Chief Operations Officer of 7-Eleven Sdn. Bhd.

The collaboration will provide RTW participants with access to pre-employment training, practical workplace exposure, workforce readiness initiatives, and potential employment opportunities within 7-Eleven Malaysia’s retail operations.

As Malaysia’s largest convenience store chain with more than 2,700 stores nationwide, 7-Eleven Malaysia is uniquely positioned to offer accessible employment and training opportunities within local communities across the country. The company’s extensive footprint enables programme participants to benefit from opportunities closer to home, reducing barriers to workforce participation while providing a familiar and supportive working environment.

The MOU signing ceremony was held at the Pusat Rehabilitasi Neuro-Robotik dan Sibernik Kebangsaan PERKESO (PRNRSKP) in Meru, Perak, and was attended by senior representatives from both organisations.

Speaking at the event, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Annuar bin Zaini, Chairman of 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Berhad, said employment plays a critical role in helping individuals regain confidence, independence, and a renewed sense of purpose following rehabilitation.

“Recovery is not only about regaining physical strength. It is also about restoring confidence, dignity and the opportunity to participate meaningfully in society once again. Through this collaboration with PERKESO, we hope to create pathways for individuals to

rebuild their lives through employment and demonstrate that every worker deserves the opportunity for a second chance.

We are honoured to work alongside PERKESO in helping individuals transition from recovery to employment, enabling them to regain their independence and contribute meaningfully to society once again.”

Under the collaboration, PERKESO RTW participants will have access to pre-employment training programmes, practical workplace exposure, workforce readiness initiatives and potential employment opportunities within 7-Eleven Malaysia’s retail operations. Participants will gain hands-on experience in customer service, product management and daily retail operations, equipping them with practical skills that can support long-term career development and employability.

7-Eleven Malaysia is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace environment throughout the programme. Participants will receive onboarding, workplace guidance, supervision and ongoing support during their placement journey, in close collaboration with PERKESO.

The initiative is designed to provide more than short-term workplace exposure. By offering real-world experience and structured employment pathways, both organisations aim to create sustainable opportunities that support long-term self-sufficiency and economic participation.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that Malaysians who have experienced workplace injuries or health setbacks are given meaningful opportunities to rebuild their lives through employment. By combining PERKESO’s rehabilitation expertise with 7-Eleven Malaysia’s extensive nationwide retail network, the partnership seeks to bridge the gap between recovery and sustainable employment.

The partnership also demonstrates the important role that public-private collaboration can play in strengthening Malaysia’s social protection ecosystem while increasing workforce participation among individuals recovering from workplace injuries or health-related challenges.

This marks the first formal employment-focused collaboration between PERKESO and 7-Eleven Malaysia. Both parties aim to welcome the first cohort of RTW participants before the end of 2026, with plans to progressively expand the programme to additional locations and participants nationwide.

Through this collaboration, PERKESO and 7-Eleven Malaysia reaffirm their shared belief that every Malaysian deserves the opportunity to rebuild, recover and contribute meaningfully to society, and that no worker should be left behind following a workplace injury or setback.
