Kenanga Investors Collaborates With MFPC to Launch Financial Planning Programme

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Media OutReach – 6 April 2021 – Kenanga Investors Berhad (“Kenanga Investors”) today announced its collaboration with the Malaysian Financial Planning Council (“MFPC”) to offer programmes for the purpose of the professional qualification for the Registered Financial Planner (RFP) and the Shariah Registered Financial Planner (Shariah RFP) certifications.

From left to right: Vincent Kwo Shih Kang, President of Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) & Ismitz Matthew De Alwis, Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of Kenanga Investors Berhad.

The Programmes are set to improve the relevance of financial planning and enhance the careers of these financial practitioners; thereby producing competent financial planners who are professionally qualified. MFPC will oversee the management of the overall Programme mechanics which include developing and updating the Programme materials from time-to-time, quality monitoring and assessment, and conferring awards on qualified Programme participants. The Programmes will see Kenanga Investors assisting MFPC in educating participants on their responsibilities as financial planners, their professional conduct, and the applicable rules and standards throughout its duration.

Ismitz Matthew De Alwis, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kenanga Investors says “The Programmes are intended to promote greater understanding of the financial planning approach as opposed to a product-based approach, which is something that we have staunchly been a supporter of. At Kenanga Investors, we advocate the benefits of this approach within our corporate structure and at present, our sales personnel from both the agency force and Private Wealth team are currently enrolling as or already are licensed financial planners.”

With the launch of the Programmes, he foresees that the company’s agency sales force, as well as new entrants, will fulfill the licensing requirements to become full-fledged financial planners. “Our annual goal will be to have our Kenanga Investors agency force and our Private Wealth Managers be systematically enrolled according to the scheduled intakes and readiness. This collaboration ensures we ultimately offer financial products and services that will add holistic value to our clients’ financial journey” says De Alwis.

According to MFPC President Vincent Kwo Shih Kang, this strategic collaboration is in line with the recent announcement by regulators intending to expand the scope of financial planners. “MFPC, together with Kenanga Investors laud these encouraging steps being taken within the industry which will provide investors with an additional avenue of investment advisory. We are committed to supporting the growth of the financial planning profession through this active approach which will greatly benefit the rising number of novice investors especially as there is heightened interest in investing post pandemic times.”, says Kwo.

MFPC is an independent body that promotes nationwide development and enhancements of the financial planning profession. MFPC developed and maintains the Best Practice Standards and Code of Ethics that must be adhered to by RFP and Shariah-RFP designees. It was registered on 10 March 2004 under the Societies Act 1996.

Match dating launched a one-on-one relationship class to provide students with psychological counseling, relationship information, and personal love during the Easter season.

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach – 5 April 2021- Match dating is a company based in Hong Kong. During the Easter holiday, Match dating is encouraging single people to sign up for one-on-one relationship classes. These emotional analysis classes will provide members with psychological counseling and single-pair love counseling.

A sentiment analysis class helps members determine whether a piece of writing is positive, negative, or neutral. With Match dating, the sentiment analysis class will help analyze how individual people think about potential partners, love, and relationships. After gathering vital information, the instructors can break preconceived ideas and negative thoughts by reinforcing healthy habits and patterns. Since the classes are offered in one-on-one format, members benefit greatly. It is easy for a member to focus, be open and honest in one-on-one classes, unlike in a room full of people.

Match dating has been in the dating industry for more than a decade. Ergo, they have gathered vital knowledge, skills, experience, and insight on love, dating, and marriage. For instance, to achieve and maintain a long-lasting relationship, one must face and address interpersonal limitations and shortcomings. Match dating understands that we are all different. People in different age groups have different family backgrounds and relationship experiences, making them have different desires and expectations about love and relationships. The Match dating team will help members find resolutions to their experiences and relationship history. The main objective is to help members learn how to get along with others in one-on-one settings.

The classes will help members identify and address reasons why past relationships failed, identify negative and judgmental behaviors to become more positive in the future. It may take time to develop a positive attitude depending on the circumstances. Some people have been divorced or bereaved, making it hard for them to start new relationships. The sentiment analysis class will help these people address their negative feelings and rebuild their self-esteem via psychological counseling.

About Match Dating

Match dating is a reputable one-on-one dating agency that helps singles find love and break the negative perception of relationships and marriage. Match dating does not believe in speed dating because it leads to confusion and self-doubt. Instead, Match dating provides a one-on-one approach to understand individual clients and match them with ideal partners depending on their personality, background, and expectations.

Unlike the dating app, Match dating believes that integrity is the most important thing in a relationship. The team will authenticate the guests to ensure that the information and photos provided by the guests are authentic. The rest will be screened out to ensure the quality of the members. Meet the basic requirements. After confirming the match, members only need to select the date and time and catering requirements, and all other appointment procedures and matters will be handled by the team, so customers don’t need to worry too much. The person in charge of Match Dating said frankly: “No one wants to be alone for a lifetime, and always hope that someone will support them. Singlism and inmarriage are just no excuses for a suitable partner.” Match Dating is happy to lead a group of members thousands of miles away and provide makeup. Service, image guidance, professional psychotherapy and love counseling and a series of professional services, love novices can also enjoy one-on-one matching services with peace of mind.

UK-Singapore Bond Strengthens with launch of Tech Nation International Growth Programme

  • The inaugural Tech Nation International Growth programme is part of the UK Government Digital Trade Network
  • 12 UK companies forms the first cohort to set up shop in Singapore

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach – 5 April 2021 – 12 UK tech scale-ups formally undertake the Tech Nation International Growth Programme in Singapore today. The programme, led by Tech Nation, the UK tech scale-up experts, is part of the Digital Trade Network, a newly commissioned initiative by the UK Government, to assist innovative British tech companies access trade and investment opportunities and forge new international partnerships across Asia Pacific, including Singapore.

This initiative comes as the UK looks to deepen its relationship following the UK-Singapore free trade deal signed last year, which has opened more opportunities to boost trade and investment between the two countries, the UK has also committed to scoping a UK-Singapore Digital Economy Agreement (DEA), with the aim of launching negotiations in 2021.

Tech Nation is working in collaboration with Plug and Play, who will create an in-market entrepreneur network in Singapore to help these scale-ups make the leap, as well as the UK Department for International Trade in Singapore to deliver this international programme.

The first cohort of companies from the UK looking to explore new opportunities here includes:

  • Seed Legals
  • Wazoku
  • Wondrwall
  • Assuria
  • Cambridge Intelligence
  • Topolytics
  • Dataswift
  • Firefly
  • Dynamify
  • Flexciton
  • BankBI
  • Everledger

Please refer to Annex A for company profiles.

Talking about the launch of this programme, Gerard Grech, CEO of Tech Nation said: “Singapore is an extremely important partner for the UK tech sector, and a country that shares our success in this field. We can’t wait to see the success that our International Growth Programme in Singapore, as part of the Digital Trade Network, brings to both countries.

As found in Tech Nation’s ‘Unlocking Global Tech’ report, for UK companies, Singapore was one of the fastest rising global opportunities for trade, climbing 5 places in the rankings for global tech opportunity between 2019 and 2020.

These 12 digital tech companies have been selected from Tech Nation’s network of 800 UK tech scale-ups who have been through our growth programmes over the past seven years. The International Growth Programme in Singapore is just a first step for Tech Nation as we help more UK digital tech companies identify opportunities to enter and grow into Southeast Asia.

The UK’s tech sector, driven by fast growing tech scale-ups, is already growing six times faster than the rest of the UK economy combined – the UK tech start-up and scale-up ecosystem is valued at almost $600bn and the UK has produced 80 unicorns.

Thinking globally is now vital for UK tech and Tech Nation. 80% of our latest Upscale cohort cited international expansion as their number one challenge, so this International Programme in Singapore is key to the next stage of growth for UK tech.”

Sam Myers, Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Asia Pacific at the UK Government Department for International Trade said: “The launch of the first Tech Nation International Growth Programme for UK tech scale-ups in Asia Pacific highlights the importance of Singapore and the wider region for the UK’s future. This is yet another way Singapore and the UK can continue to collaborate in the digital economy. Collective action with our partners will be vitally important to address global challenges and harness the benefits of the digital age.”

This week also sees the selection of the first cohorts of the Digital Trade Network’s International Growth Programme in Australia, Japan and South Korea. Due to overwhelming interest from UK tech companies in Asia Pacific, Tech Nation is also providing a series of webinars, bootcamps and interactive workshops over the next few months to support UK tech scale-ups looking to grow their businesses into this region.

Tech Nation will continue to work closely with the UK government to help more UK tech companies enter new markets like Singapore, while also providing links for Singapore’s businesses into tech clusters across the UK.
