Laos Records 307 New Cases of Covid-19 as Numbers Decrease Slightly

Laos has recorded 307 new cases of Covid-19 today as numbers decrease slightly.

The National Taskforce for Covid-19 Prevention and Control reported that 4,591 tests were conducted across the country over the last 24 hours, with 307 new cases confirmed.

There were 300 cases of community spread and 7 imported cases across the country.

Community Spread in Vientiane Capital:
Vientiane Capital recorded 164 cases.

-Naxaythong District recorded 64 cases across 19 villages.
-Sikhottabong recorded 21 cases across 10 villages.
-Xaythany District recorded 21 cases across seven villages.
-Sisattanak Recorded 19 cases across 10 villages.
-Chanthabouly Recorded 16 cases across eight villages.
-Saysettha recorded 12 cases across five villages.
-Hatsaifong District recorded 10 cases across six villages.

Community Spread by Province:

In Savannakhet, there were 32 cases, with 25 in Outhoumphone District, six cases in Kaysone Phomvihane District, and one case in Champhone.

In Champasack Province, 19 cases were recorded, with seven cases in Pakse, and 12 cases in Pachiang.

In Luang Prabang Province, a total of 47 cases of community spread were recorded, with three in Chomphet District, 12 cases in Xiengngeun District, three cases in Nabak District, and two cases in Nan District.

Khammouane Province saw six cases in Thakhek District.

In Vientiane Province, there were four cases, with three cases in Phonhong and one case in Keooudom District.

Total Cases:

Laos now has 6,498 active cases of Covid-19, with 22 confirmed deaths, and 25,524 total cases.

Meanwhile, 462 people recovered and were discharged from hospitals around the country yesterday.
