KLN Project, an expert in large-scale energy and infrastructure projects across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia, continues to expand its portfolio. The WHPA project aligns with KLN’s strategy to meet growing demand for sustainable infrastructure and energy transition through tailored, end-to-end solutions. Raydel expands into Vietnam, aiming at promoting sustainable health for Vietnamese people

HANOI, VIETNAM – Media OutReach Newswire – 20 October 2025 – Raydel expands its business operations in Vietnam, with the goal not only of bringing high-quality health products closer to local consumers but also of promoting scientific cooperation and technology transfer in the field of preventive medicine.

Mr. Lee Byeong-gu, Chief Executive Officer of Raydel Group, was speaking at the symposium in Hà Nội
Mr. Lee Byeong-gu, Chief Executive Officer of Raydel Group, was speaking at the symposium in Hà Nội

“Raydel is ready to support Tuệ Tĩnh Hospital in conducting clinical research on the effects of Policosanol, contributing to efforts to prevent cardiovascular diseases and enhance the quality of life of the Vietnamese people.”

This was affirmed by Mr. Lee Byeong-gu, Chief Executive Officer of Raydel Group (Republic of Korea), at the recent international symposium on cardiovascular and stroke prevention, quality of life, and longevity.

Policosanol – A natural compound supporting heart health and longevity

The symposium, titled “Policosanol and the Longevity Factor HDL”, was jointly organised by Raydel Group, Hasu No Hana Joint Stock Company, Tuệ Tĩnh Hospital, and the National Centre for Scientific Research of Cuba (CNIC), in Hà Nội on October 17.

Speaking at the symposium, Mr. Julio Alfonso Rubi, President of CNIC, said Policosanol is the result of more than 30 years of Cuban research and is considered one of the key factors contributing to the country’s remarkably high life expectancy. He expressed confidence that cooperation with Vietnam would help translate these research findings into practical public health applications.

Studies conducted by the Raydel HDL Research Institute have shown that Policosanol derived from Cuban sugarcane can help reduce the risk of hypertension and prevent cardiovascular disease by increasing HDL (“good”) cholesterol levels. This has reshaped perceptions of proactive cardiovascular prevention and is regarded as the “best option” for improving the quality of life not only among Koreans but also people around the world.

Mr. Lee Byeong-gu emphasised: “Policosanol is a precious gift from nature, born of the synergy between modern science and traditional medical wisdom. Over more than three decades of research, we have learned that increasing HDL cholesterol is the key to maintaining long-term cardiovascular health. Raydel hopes to bring this solution closer to the Vietnamese people, helping to extend longevity and enhance quality of life.”

Meanwhile, Associate Professor Dr Le Manh Cuong, Director of Tuệ Tĩnh Hospital, stated: “Research on Policosanol has opened up new approaches to cardiovascular disease prevention. Tuệ Tĩnh Hospital is currently conducting clinical studies to evaluate the efficacy and safety of this compound for the Vietnamese population.”

Hasu No Hana to distribute Policosanol 10 in Vietnam

As Raydel’s strategic partner in Vietnam, Hasu No Hana JSC will serve as the official distributor of Policosanol 10 in the Vietnamese market.

Mr. Nguyen Van Giap, Director of Hasu No Hana, said Policosanol 10 is produced using advanced technology in Australia and Japan and was licensed for circulation by the Vietnamese Ministry of Health in October 2024. He expressed his hope that the technology for refining Policosanol would soon be transferred to Vietnam: “Policosanol is currently imported into Vietnam at a relatively high cost and in limited quantities. We hope to soon bring the extraction technology to the country, which would help reduce product prices and make it more accessible to consumers.”

He added: “More affordable prices will enable more people, especially those suffering from high blood lipids or atherosclerosis, to benefit from Policosanol, thereby improving cardiovascular health within the community.”

Raydel’s long-term vision

With over 40 years of experience in health and nutrition, Raydel Group currently operates in more than 13 countries, including Australia, Japan, China, India, Canada, the United States, and Singapore. The group is known for its philosophy “Best Option for Better Health”, underscoring the importance of proactive disease prevention and sustainable health care.

By expanding into Vietnam through its strategic partnership with Hasu No Hana JSC, and its commitment to support Tuệ Tĩnh Hospital in clinical research, Raydel demonstrates its long-term vision to accompany local communities, advance medical research, and provide natural, safe, and effective health solutions for the Vietnamese people.

Chery Group Renews US$6 Million Partnership with UNICEF to Advance Global Education

WUHU, China, Oct. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Chery Group and UNICEF today announced the renewal of their global partnership in education, launching a new three-year collaboration to transform the lives of children worldwide, especially the most vulnerable, by enabling them to access quality education.

Chery Group and UNICEF Signing Ceremony
Chery Group and UNICEF Signing Ceremony

Building on its initial contribution of US$ 6 million for 2023-2025, Chery Group has pledged an additional US$ 6 million over the next three years to further support UNICEF’s education programs, both globally and with dedicated support to China, Mexico, South Africa, Türkiye, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

UNICEF estimates that hundreds of millions of children worldwide still lack access to quality education. Over 600 million are unable to attain minimum proficiency levels in reading and mathematics, even though two thirds of them are in school. For those out of school, foundational literacy and numeracy remain out of reach. Educational inequality continues to hinder global progress, with children affected by poverty, conflict, disasters, disabilities, or living in remote and marginalized communities most at risk of being left behind.

Since the partnership was first established in 2023, Chery Group has provided vital support to UNICEF’s global education programmes. Chery contributed to UNICEF reaching nearly 40 million children and adolescents with access to quality education, including 17 million in emergencies. Building on this significant impact and in response to the ongoing global learning crisis, both parties have pledged to extend their partnership through 2028, deepening their shared commitment to empowering the next generation.

Chery Group’s renewed commitment of US$6 million will support UNICEF’s global education programmes to provide access to quality education for the most disadvantaged and marginalised children, and to help countries strengthen their national education systems to create lasting change for children at scale.

Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Group, stated at the renewal ceremony: “Chery Group has consistently placed corporate social responsibility at the core of its development. We are not just an automobile manufacturer – we are committed contributors to global sustainable development. The achievements of our collaboration over the past two years have strengthened our belief in advancing global education with UNICEF. By renewing this vital partnership, Chery Group will continue to mobilize global resources, collaborate with partners from all sectors, and contribute efforts to promote social progress and help build a more inclusive future.”

“Chery’s commitment to innovation, social responsibility, and global impact is truly inspiring,” said Dr. Myo-Zin Nyunt, Deputy Regional Director of UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office. “We look forward to deepening our collaboration and creating even greater opportunities for children everywhere. On behalf of UNICEF and the millions of lives of children you’ve touched – thank you for your trust, your vision, and your unwavering support. Together, we can build a brighter, more equitable future for every child.”

With Chery Group’s support, UNICEF has made remarkable progress during the first two years of the partnership, delivering quality education to tens of millions of out-of-school children, including children with disabilities, displaced children, and those affected by emergencies. With Chery Group’s renewed commitment, this transformative work will continue in China, Mexico, South Africa, and Türkiye, and expand to Viet Nam and Indonesia. These programmes focus on fostering inclusive, healthy, and safe learning environments, ensuring that more children and adolescents gain access to equitable and quality educational opportunities.

Chery Group has consistently integrated the principles of sustainable development into its strategy and operations. The renewal of its partnership with UNICEF marks not only a significant milestone in Chery’s long-term commitment to social responsibility, but also a concrete step towards fulfilling its promise of “building a better future for the next generation”. By joining forces and leveraging education as a catalyst, Chery Group will continue to stand alongside global partners like UNICEF to advance a more equitable, resilient, and human-centered vision of sustainable development worldwide.
