China Moutai Holds “The Mou-Velous Key: Oriental Co-Brewing” Event in Bangkok, Using Baijiu as a Medium to Promote the Cultural Integration between China and Thailand

BANGKOK, Oct. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — From September 27 to 29, 2025, “The Mou-Velous Key: Oriental Co-Brewing” series event, organized by the China Moutai International Inheritor Work Department, was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Moutai inheritors from both China and abroad, local Thai distributors, business elites, and cultural figures gathered to build a bridge for Sino-Thai exchanges using baijiu as a medium.

In discussions with local Thai distributors, we gained in-depth insights into local consumption habits and channel characteristics in Thailand and explored local adaptation strategies for Moutai products, such as enhancing the pairing flavor with Thai cuisine. Subsequently, we visited the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce to share Moutai’s brewing craftsmanship and the core values.

The first China Moutai Domestic and Foreign Inheritors Seminar was held, focusing on brand internationalization. The inheritors proposed the path of “innovation according to local conditions,” such as promoting Moutai by aligning with local festivals and using short videos to reach younger groups overseas. They emphasized that the foundation lies in the inheritance of craftsmanship, with cultural expression and market operation innovation serving as breakthrough points to highlight the mission of inheritance.

During the themed dinner party, the inheritors said that in the future, they will enhance the cultural and emotional connection between Moutai and global consumers through cultural exhibitions, public welfare activities, and other initiatives. During the dinner party, guests were captivated by the allure of Moutai as presented by the cultural lecturers. They all exclaimed that the Moutai brand embodies a harmonious blend of history and culture.

This event is a significant initiative for Moutai to strengthen its presence in the Thai market. Through localized exchanges and cultural innovation in Thailand, it aims to promote dialogue between Oriental brewing civilization and Thai culture, injecting new vitality into Moutai’s international exchanges.

PHNOM PENH’S TECHO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OPENS: CAMBODIA’S NEW GLOBAL GATEWAY

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia, Oct. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — On 9 September, Phnom Penh celebrated a historic milestone with the inauguration of Techo International Airport (IATA: KTI; ICAO: VDTI), the nation’s largest aviation infrastructure project. Cambodian funded and built, with a design inspired by the nation’s cultural and Angkorian heritage, the airport begins operations as a modernised hub for business and tourism. The launch was marked by the arrival of the first commercial flight operated by Air Cambodia, welcomed with a traditional water salute.

Within its first month of operations, the airport has opened two new routes and supported Cathay Pacific by temporarily hosting some of its fleet during Typhoon Ragasa.

Developed by Cambodia Airport Investment Co., Ltd. (CAIC) — a joint venture between the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) and Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC), a leading Cambodian conglomerate — Techo International Airport underscores the country’s growing role in regional connectivity. With capacity for 15 million passengers annually in its first phase, the airport will strengthen tourism, expand trade flows, and enhance Cambodia’s international connectivity.

The project was Cambodian built in collaboration with a consortium of local and international contractors and engaged more than 200 Cambodian engineers and 17,000 workers — highlighting the nation’s ability to deliver world-class projects by combining homegrown expertise with global partnerships.

The terminal, designed by British firm Foster + Partners, reflects Angkorian traditions through sweeping roof canopies supported by structural “trees” inspired by the rumduol — Cambodia’s national flower. Natural light, tropical landscaping, and a nine-meter Buddha statue in the Abhayamudra pose together create a distinctive sense of place that celebrates Cambodian heritage while offering a modern gateway for future generations. The atmosphere combines a holistic and zen spirit, welcoming travellers with peace and balance from the very moment they arrive.

“Welcoming the first passengers at Techo International Airport is a defining moment,” said Pung Kheav Se, Chairman of OCIC and CAIC. “It creates new opportunities for Cambodia — for visitors, businesses, and investors — and marks the beginning of a new chapter for our country.”

To ensure high-quality operations, CAIC has appointed partners including Vinci Airports, Lagardère Travel Retail, Newrest, and Singapore Airlines Engineering Company (SIAEC) to oversee airport management, retail, catering, and aircraft maintenance.

Techo International Airport also features a high-quality retail and dining offering. Among the shops and restaurants are Malis, Paul, Starbucks, Brown Coffee, Bodia, and Artisans d’Angkor — blending Cambodian heritage with global hospitality.

The inauguration also coincides with the 25th anniversary of OCIC. The group, with presence in Cambodia, Laos, and Hong Kong, has over the past two decades contributed to Cambodia’s economic transformation across real estate, infrastructure, healthcare, and education—delivering more than 10,000 homes as well as major roads, bridges, and flyovers.

Techo International Airport now stands as both an emblem of Cambodia’s identity and a gateway to the future, ready to welcome the world as the capital strengthens its position in global air networks.

Helping Small Businesses in Southeast Asia Tap into AI: ASEAN Foundation and AVPN Introduce Local Partners for AIM ASEAN Programme

SINGAPORE, Oct. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Small businesses are the backbone of Southeast Asia’s economy. But in today’s fast-changing digital landscape, many Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) risk being left behind, especially when it comes to using AI to grow their business.

To address this gap, the ASEAN Foundation, working in partnership with AVPN through the AI Opportunity Fund: Asia Pacific, with support from Google.org and Asian Development Bank (ADB), is proud to introduce 9 local organisations that will roll out the AI for MSME Advancement in ASEAN (AIM ASEAN) programme on the ground across Southeast Asia: Big BWN Project (Brunei Darussalam), Kenan Foundation Asia (Thailand, Viet Nam, Cambodia), KUMPUL Impact and Kaizen Collaborative Impact (Indonesia), XM Technovator (XMT) (Lao PDR), Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS – ASEAN Student Association (Malaysia), SMEHub Asia (Myanmar), Limitless Lab (The Philippines), Project Asia Data (Singapore).

These local partners will help train 100,000 MSMEs across the region by developing or adapting learning materials that reflect the real-world challenges and goals of business owners. The training sessions will focus on hands-on, practical uses of AI, such as streamlining operations, boosting online sales, or managing finances more effectively, helping MSMEs tap into AI technology that can make a real difference to their day-to-day work.

What is AIM ASEAN?

AIM ASEAN is a two-year initiative led by the ASEAN Foundation, in partnership with AVPN through the AI Opportunity Fund: Asia-Pacific Phase 2. The programme plays a critical role in reaching 100,000 MSMEs in all ten ASEAN Member States.

Through practical, localised AI training, AIM ASEAN will help small business owners use AI tools to improve their operations, grow their markets, and build resilience. Beyond the training, the programme will also bring together policymakers and experts through national and regional convenings, building a stronger, more supportive ecosystem for MSMEs to thrive in the AI era.

“We are proud to partner with AVPN, with support from Google.org and ADB, to announce and work alongside these outstanding local organisations,” said Dr. Piti Srisangnam, Executive Director of the ASEAN Foundation. “The AIM ASEAN programme represents a critical step toward equipping MSMEs with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in the digital era. It aligns closely with the aspirations of ASEAN Vision 2045, particularly in fostering a resilient and inclusive digital economy. By helping MSMEs across the region understand and use AI in practical, everyday ways, we’re investing in the long-term strength and sustainability of Southeast Asia’s economy.”

AIM ASEAN has also received official endorsement from the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on MSMEs (ACCMSME), marking it as an official ASEAN initiative to support small business growth. This endorsement confirms the programme’s strong alignment with ASEAN’s ongoing efforts to help MSMEs adapt to digital change and stay competitive.

By helping business owners learn how to use AI in practical ways, AIM ASEAN supports the long-term economic vision laid out in ASEAN Vision 2045, which calls for a stronger, more connected, and inclusive regional economy.

“Building an AI-ready workforce is no longer a ‘nice-to-have’, it’s a shared social mandate that governments, businesses, and impact organisations must act on together,” said Naina Subberwal Batra, CEO at AVPN. “Through the AI Opportunity Fund, AVPN is working with local impact partners who bring deep community insights and sector knowledge to ensure AI upskilling is both relevant and scalable. By strengthening these on-the-ground efforts, we aim to catalyse a digital transition that ensures all workers can benefit as Southeast Asia moves towards an AI-enabled economy.”

To ensure the training is relevant and practical, the ASEAN Foundation will work closely with these local implementing partners in each ASEAN Member State to deliver customised AI training tailored to the unique needs of MSME business owners. These partners will adapt and enrich the curriculum, leveraging Google’s suite of AI tools, to meet the demands of diverse sectors such as retail, agriculture, manufacturing, and services.

Each training module will be delivered through a hybrid approach, combining in-person workshops, online learning platforms, and peer-to-peer support networks. The sessions will focus on real-world applications of AI, with key areas including AI-powered marketing, smarter e-commerce strategies, and tools for managing finances more efficiently.

About the ASEAN Foundation

The ASEAN Foundation is an organization by and for the people of ASEAN. The Foundation exists because of one vision: to build a cohesive and prosperous ASEAN Community.
