Lee, a Hang Seng warrants specialist from Hong Kong where participants can learn about the Hang Seng Index Warrants and at the same time, stand a chance to win prizes courtesy of Garmin Malaysia.

Kenanga’s local equity warrants have consistently been the most popular trading instruments in Malaysia, as demonstrated by its “Best Structured Warrants Issuer 2020” award by Bursa Malaysia, accounting for over 25 percent of warrant turnover in 2020.

  • Primary infusion of US$ 10 million investment, with commitment of further funding for pipeline projects
  • Geographies covered include Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, and Taiwan, with potential expansion to other Australasian countries

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach – 5 August 2021 – AC Energy Corporation (ACEN), through its wholly-owned subsidiary, AC Renewables International (ACRI), has obtained board approval* to enter into a joint venture with NEFIN Holding Limited (NEFIN), a leading solar photovoltaic developer and investor in carbon neutrality solutions. ACEN and NEFIN will establish a 50/50 joint venture holding company that will develop, construct, and operate rooftop solar projects across Asia.

The joint venture will own 21 MW of operating assets and has a robust near-term project pipeline. NEFIN, as an expert in rooftop solar PV system engineering and management, has collectively delivered over 300 MW of utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar PV systems for itself and its clients. Philippine-based power company, ACEN, has one of the highest renewables share capacities in Southeast Asia after pivoting to a lower carbon portfolio by developing more renewable energy projects, and a planned divestment of coal assets. ACEN’s aspiration is to be the largest listed renewables platform in Southeast Asia, and the company is on track to achieve its goal of reaching 5,000 MW of renewables capacity by 2025. The partnership between ACEN and NEFIN is a natural fit, with both businesses anchored on sustainability and with growing renewable energy capacity.

ACRI’s investment into the joint venture vehicle will be via a primary infusion of an initial US$ 10 million of fresh funds which will be used to construct near-term projects over the coming years. ACRI will also commit to further expand its funding for the development and construction of the rest of the joint venture’s carbon neutrality pipeline.

“We expect distributed power generation to be an increasingly important pillar of the global energy transition,” said Patrice Clausse, Director of ACRI and COO of ACEN. “We are delighted to announce our partnership with NEFIN in what will be AC Energy’s first foray into rooftop solar projects as we look forward to roll out more projects throughout the region.”

Glenn Lim, CEO and co-founder of NEFIN, adds, “It is our pleasure to partner with ACEN, who shares the same vision with NEFIN. In the coming future, we will strive to achieve carbon neutrality with more global business partners using innovative methods to play our part to achieve a green recovery for a sustainable world together.”

ACEN, together with NEFIN, has a strong commitment towards sustainability which is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Guided by ACEN’s Environmental & Social (E&S) policy on having a low carbon portfolio by 2030, protecting the environment and investing in communities, and NEFIN’s emphasis on ESG principles in investments, the joint venture plans to invest in socially responsible and commercially viable projects through innovative technological approaches that assist corporations to achieve a green recovery as economies pick up after the pandemic.

DBS Bank Ltd. is the sole financial advisor for NEFIN for this transaction.

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach – 5 August 2021 – NTRUST announces its expansion plans to extend its services into settlement by helping clients settle in with ease during the relocation process. Individuals with their visas will receive assistance from NTRUST, including clients who require help in sorting out areas like properties, schools, jobs, banking, car, and taxation.

NTRUST is an agency that provides Australian immigration services, assisting individuals with obtaining visas through their team of migration agents, consultants, and lawyers. However, they will also be offering settlement services to help clients smoothen the relocation process. With a team of onshore personnel located in Australia, not only stationed locally in Singapore, NTRUST is able to liaise with both the authorities and locals. Holding more than 18 years of expertise, NTRUST has continuously provided solutions to clients for the betterment of their lives. 80% of Global Organizations Expect to Experience a Breach of Customer Records in the Next Year

Trend Micro Cyber Risk Index shows organizations are at an elevated risk of attack

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach – 4 August 2021 – Trend Micro Incorporated (TYO: 4704; TSE: 4704), a global cybersecurity leader, today revealed that the risk of cyber attacks has increased in the last year. According to a new survey, 80% of global organizations report they are likely to experience a data breach that impacts customer data in the next 12 months.

The findings come from Trend Micro’s biannual Cyber Risk Index (CRI) report, which measures the gap between respondents’ cybersecurity preparedness versus their likelihood of being attacked. In the first half of 2021 the CRI surveyed more than 3,600 businesses of all sizes and industries across North AmericaEuropeAsia-Pacific, and Latin America.

Read the full report, produced by the Ponemon Institute, here: https://www.trendmicro.com/cyberrisk.

The CRI is based on a numerical scale of -10 to 10, with -10 representing the highest level of risk. The current global index stands at -0.42, a slight increase on last year which indicates an “elevated” risk.

“Once again we’ve found plenty to keep CISOs awake at night, from operational and infrastructure risks to data protection, threat activity and human-shaped challenges,” said Tony Lee, Head of Consulting, Hong Kong and Macau, of Trend Micro. “To lower cyber risk, organizations must be better prepared by going back to basics, identifying the critical data most at risk, focusing on the threats that matter most to their business, and delivering multi-layered protection from comprehensive, connected platforms.”

Organizations ranked the top three negative consequences of an attack as customer churn, lost IP and critical infrastructure damage/disruption.

Key findings from the report include:

  • 86% said it was somewhat to very likely that they’d suffer serious cyber-attacks in the next 12 months, compared to 83% last time
  • 24% suffered 7+ cyber attacks that infiltrated networks/systems, versus 23% in the previous report.
  • 21% had 7+ breaches of information assets, versus 19% in the previous report.
  • 20% of respondents said they’d suffered 7+ breaches of customer data over the past year, up from 17% in the last report.

“Trend Micro’s CRI continues to be a helpful tool to help companies better understand their cyber risk,” said Dr. Larry Ponemon, CEO for the Ponemon Institute. “Businesses globally can use this resource to prioritize their security strategy and focus their resources to best manage their cyber risk. This type of resource is increasingly useful as harmful security incidents continue to be a challenge for businesses of all sizes and industries.”

Among the top two infrastructure risks was cloud computing. Global organizations gave it a  6.77, ranking it as an elevated risk on the index’s 10-point scale. Many respondents admitted they spend “considerable resources” managing third party risks like cloud providers.

The top cyber risks highlighted in the report were as follows:

  • Man-in-the-middle attacks
  • Ransomware
  • Phishing and social engineering
  • Fileless attack
  • Botnets

The top security risks to infrastructure remain the same as last year, and include organizational misalignment and complexity, as well as cloud computing infrastructure and providers. In addition, respondents identified customer turnover, lost intellectual property and disruption or damages to critical infrastructure as key operational risks for organizations globally.

The main challenges for cybersecurity preparedness include limitations for security leaders who lack the authority and resources to achieve a strong security posture, as well as organizations struggling to enable security technologies that are sufficient to protect their data assets and IT infrastructure.
