Skydream Launches a New Species of Caravan, Redefining the Future of Caravan Trips

DUSSELDORF, Germany, Aug. 31, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — If your impression of a “caravan” is still that of white box-shaped vehicles, with outdated interiors from the last century, along with a bunch of keys and remote controls, that’s normal. Over the past few decades, the industry has remained largely stagnant: outdated design language, slow progress in electrification and intelligence. A series of cumbersome operations still deter many people.

Skydream is set to revolutionize the industry — On August 29, the company made its global debut at the CARAVAN SALON DUSSELDORF, Germany, where two types of new energy smart caravan nearly ready for mass production were unveiled to public. It is reported that Skydream is committed to realizing user’s dream of future caravan trips through cutting-edge technology by deeply integrating the latest new energy and intelligent driving technologies already applied to the passenger vehicle, intelligent technologies in smart home controls, as well as mature research and manufacturing experience from Europe and the United States. The Company is collaborating with global users to create an entirely new breed of caravan — an intelligent, mobile and flexible living space that can be placed anywhere. This appears to be another generation-leading breakthrough in the history of the industry.

Innovative Design: A Perfect Blend of Avant-Garde Aesthetics and Ultimate Comfort

At the CARAVAN SALON DUSSELDORF, the appearance of the two caravans made by Skydream left a deep impression on the participants. Their contrast with other traditional caravans was so dramatic that it felt like comparing today’s smartphone with a keypad phone around year 2000 — as if they were products of two entirely different eras.

This sense of disruption stems from the design team’s bold breakthrough: they completely abandoned the decades-old tradition of “white box-shaped vehicle”, they created futuristic designs based on the concepts of “interstellar camping” and “land yacht”.

Farewell to Tradition: A New Energy Revolution for Caravan

Many users of caravan are in pursuit of a truly free and movable lifestyle. Yet, the “freedom” offered by caravan is extremely limited: weak off-grid capabilities and heavy dependent on campsite utilities, making it difficult to realize their dream of long term outdoor stay.

According to Skydream, their latest models are equipped with a high-safety-grade LFP battery ranging from 45kWh-85kWh, combined with a 1100W-2200W solar charging system, enabling up to 14 days of true off-grid camping capability. Additionally, it features reverse EV charging functionality.

User-centered: An Unprecedented Intelligent Travel Experience

Some users may also encounter some challenges during driving and parking. For instance, driving the caravan requires high maneuverability and stability. Furthermore, operations such as parking, hitching are time-consuming and laborious.

Skydream claims to have launched world’s first caravan smart driving assistance feature for all main scenarios, —using body stability and dynamic assistant technology to suppress swaying during travel. At the campsite, even the most troublesome hitching and unhitching the caravan become so simple. as the caravan can automatically complete the aiming and docking process in just a few minutes.

The camping experience has also undergone a revolution. Traditional caravans are cluttered with remote controls and keys, While Skydream is equipped with the intelligent control system, allowing users to control lighting, door locks, air conditioning, and other equipment via voice commands, mobile app, etc.

After decades of stagnation, the caravan industry seems to have finally found the force to shake up the era. It is reported that Skydream plans to launch pre-sales in the first half of 2026, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds.

SENGKANG GENERAL HOSPITAL HOLDS MEN’S HEALTH FORUM TO CHAMPION PREVENTIVE CARE AND WELLBEING AMONG MEN IN SINGAPORE

Debut of “Man Up!” Book by SKH Urologist Challenges Health Barriers Among Men

SINGAPORE, Aug. 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Taking a step to shift mindsets and spark lasting change in how men approach their health, Sengkang General Hospital (SKH) held a Men’s Health Public Forum themed “Be There, For the People Who Matter” at Suntec Convention Centre today.

Bringing together close to 300 registered participants from all walks of life, this event reflected the hospital’s deepening focus on preventive healthcare, early intervention, and empowering men with the tools to make informed health decisions.

Last year, SKH surveyed over 200 men among 650 residents at their Community Health Fair event. Results show that 94% of the men value healthy eating, yet just 11% engaging in daily physical activity; almost half of the men exercise only 1–2 times a week — insufficient to offset rising metabolic and muscle health issues. These findings highlight preventable risks and lifestyle gaps that SKH seeks to close through sustained outreach and education, starting with initiatives like the Men’s Health Forum. This forum aims to flip that narrative by creating an open, stigma-free space where men could take charge of their health, ask questions, and make informed decisions early.

A Growing Health Crisis Among Men in Singapore

The rising prevalence of sarcopenia, colorectal cancer, obesity, fatty liver disease, sleep apnoea, and mental health conditions extends nationwide, with recent national health studies underscoring the urgency.

  • Sarcopenia: Affects 1 in 3 adults over 60 and 63% of sarcopenic patients in SKH are men.
  • Colorectal Cancer: Colorectal cancer incidence in men aged 20–49 has been rising 1.5% annually, making it the most common cancer among Singaporean men.[1,2,3]
  • Obesity: Obesity in men rose from 11.9% in 2019–2020 to 13.1% in 2021–2022, higher than in women. Nearly 40% of adults fall into unhealthy BMI ranges, increasing risks for fatty liver, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and even colorectal cancer.[4]
  • Fatty Liver: Fatty liver affects up to 40% of Singaporean adults, often linked to sedentary lifestyles and poor metabolic health.[5]
  • Sleep Apnoea: Sleep apnoea affects up to 30% of adults, of which up to 90% are undiagnosed, with men twice as likely to suffer from it.[6]
  • Mental Health: Mental health concerns are growing. In 2024, 314 suicides were reported, nearly two-thirds men, many deterred from seeking help early.[7]
  • Erectile Dysfunction: Severe erectile dysfunction (ED) affects 9% of men in their 40s, rising to over 70% by age 70. It is linked to smoking, poorly controlled diabetes, and high cholesterol levels. If left untreated, it may give rise to future occurrence of strokes or heart attacks. ED can serve as an early warning signal for future cardiovascular disease in men.[8]

Breaking the Silence on Men’s Health

Addressing this pressing need, SKH’s interactive full-day forum featured expert talks, panel discussions, physiotherapist-led exercises to strengthen joints and muscles as we age, and live Q&A sessions on critical topics such as colorectal cancer and prostate health, heart and liver wellness, weight management and mobility, musculoskeletal and joint care, as well as mental health and emotional resilience.

Designed to break down barriers and encourage honest conversations, the event created a safe, supportive space for men to ask questions openly and access health advice for themselves and their loved ones.

“A holistic approach to men’s health requires the care of physical and mental wellbeing. In Singapore, cases of suicide involve mostly men[7] and this is a problem we cannot remain silent about,” said Associate Professor Lee Lui Shiong, Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Urology at SKH and Clinical Advisor to the Men’s Health Forum. “We must promote a culture of conversation around men’s health, especially on issues related to emotional and mental wellbeing. Every man should feel safe discussing, garnering support and taking charge of issues related to their body and mind. Physical and mental health disorders are treatable, and seeking prompt medical care should be encouraged rather than it being perceived as a lack of courage or masculinity.”

A Key Highlight: The Launch of “Man Up!” by Associate Professor Lee Lui Shiong

At the forum, SKH unveiled “Man Up!”, a new book by Associate Professor Lee. This book features real-life local stories of men and is written with warmth and wit, aiming to debunk health myths, tackle taboo topics, and empower men to redefine what it means to be strong — not through silence, but through self-awareness and proactive care.

“The stories in “Man Up!” are authentic experiences of Singaporean men as patients or caregivers, who are, at the same time, fathers, sons, husbands or brothers. These men have experienced life-changing events and emerged stronger because they chose to speak up and seek help. True strength is exemplified in these men as they face personal struggles head-on with the support of loved ones,” said Associate Professor Lee.

“I hope that the book inspires men to place emphasis on personal health and appreciate that self-care has immediate and long-term benefits. Taking effort to care for one’s health is not considered an act of weakness; conversely it demonstrates our love and responsibility towards family and kin. I also hope that the stories inspire action in those who are hesitant towards seeking a medical opinion and bring optimism to those currently receiving treatment.”

The “Man Up!” book is available at major bookstores.

Global Launch of AEROVENT ZERO: China-Developed Innovation Ushering Tech Textiles into a PFAS-Free Era

SHANGHAI, Aug. 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — As global supply chains accelerate their transition to sustainability, the high-performance waterproof-breathable textile sector has reached a decisive moment for innovation — a fabric revolution centered on PFAS-free technologies is now underway.

On August 28, 2025, ANTA, in partnership with Donghua University, formally unveiled China’s home-developed high-performance PFAS-FREE waterproof-breathable material — AEROVENT ZERO — marking a pivotal breakthrough for the global high-performance PFAS-FREE waterproof-breathable textile industry. As China’s first independently developed and mass-produced high-performance PFAS-FREE waterproof-breathable membrane, the launch of ANTA AEROVENT ZERO signifies that China has overcome a world-class industrial challenge and will reshape the competitive landscape of technical textiles.

Accelerating sustainability in high-performance textiles — ANTA’s in-house R&D leapfrogs industry norms

High-performance PFAS-FREE waterproof-breathable fabric is widely recognized as a global industry-level challenge. Current mainstream PFAS-free solutions are largely driven by international technology routes. To secure autonomy over core technologies and broaden consumer choice, ANTA — together with Donghua University — pursued an indigenous R&D pathway and developed a PFAS-FREE, bio-based high-performance waterproofing membrane: AEROVENT ZERO. This innovation represents a distinct “China solution” for the world.

AEROVENT ZERO leverages an internally developed, high moisture-conductivity bio-based polymer combined with micro- and nano-scale structural engineering to deliver a marked improvement in vapor permeability. Coupled with a suite of PFAS-FREE process innovations — including PFAS-FREE durable water-repellent (DWR) surface modification and PFAS-FREE adhesives — the membrane also preserves robust waterproof performance. Test results from Authorized Third-Party Laboratories confirm that waterproof-breathable laminates incorporating AEROVENT ZERO now meet international leading benchmarks on core metrics — a hydrostatic head of 18,000 mmH₂O and a moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR) of 7,000 g/(m²•24h) — successfully overcoming the global challenge of “PFAS-FREE high performance.”

In a pioneering move, the R&D team substituted petroleum-derived polymers with a bio-based polymer (bio-based content ≈ 20%) in AEROVENT ZERO. This approach not only aligns more closely with long-term sustainability trajectories than many existing PFAS-FREE solutions from international competitors, but it also gives the Chinese brand a decisive first-mover advantage and demonstrates an ability to “leapfrog” in technology development. (PFAS-FREE in this context indicates that no organofluorine compounds were added during production; per GB/T 31126, “per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances” were not detected.)

Deep industry-academia integration — ANTA’s model bridges the “final 99 km” from laboratory to market

Translating cutting-edge materials science from the lab to commercial scale requires a long, multifaceted value chain: fundamental research, applied testing, product refinement and finally scaled manufacturing. If the lab breakthrough counts as the opening kilometer of a technical endurance race, then testing, yield optimization and mass production make up the critical remaining 99 kilometers. Backed by extensive in-house R&D capability, a formalized industry-university collaboration with Donghua University, and efficient, deep-level integration across the supply chain — including vertically integrated garment factories — ANTA has closed that gap. The company has become the first in the sector to achieve large-scale production of AEROVENT ZERO, completing the “final 99 km” of scientific and technological achievement transformation

Throughout development, AEROVENT ZERO underwent comprehensive laboratory evaluation, iterative R&D tuning, pilot production trials and real-world field testing, with the overall R&D→testing→production workflow aligned with international advanced standards. After more than a hundred pilot production trials and collaborative field validations conducted with scientific experts across diverse outdoor environments, the product’s quality yield and performance stability meet stringent benchmarks. Thanks to ANTA’s mature manufacturing system and its ability to integrate industrial resources, AEROVENT ZERO not only rivals international brands on technical performance but is also priced at roughly one-third the cost of comparable global fabrics. This price-performance balance enables broader access to high-performance waterproof-breathable textiles, accelerates the diffusion of green textile technologies from lab to consumer, and strengthens the positioning of Chinese brands in leading the global shift toward PFAS-FREE performance apparel.

“The Fabric of the 21st Century” — delivering sustainable solutions for global textile innovation

Against the tide of industrial transformation driven by sustainability, innovation in technical textiles — the pursuit of the “Fabric of the 21st Century” — has become the fulcrum of technological breakthrough and green transition. AEROVENT ZERO, developed domestically in China, supplies the world with a sustainable, scalable solution and signals that Chinese brands, propelled by research excellence, are accelerating the sustainability shift and increasingly participating in the reconfiguration of global technological leadership and market pricing power.

ANTA Group aims to raise the share of sustainable products to 50% and to source 50% of raw materials from sustainable origins by 2030. The large-scale deployment of AEROVENT ZERO marks a significant milestone in ANTA’s sustainability roadmap. The new generation ANTA Waterproof Jacket featuring AEROVENT ZERO will roll out simultaneously to overseas markets, with projected sales surpassing 500,000 units by 2026. Poised to become an iconic product in the high-performance PFAS-FREE outerwear segment, it is expected to stand as a landmark in the high-quality development of China’s footwear and apparel manufacturing sector.

Thailand Grants Myanmar Refugees Legal Right to Work

Myanmar refugee babies wait for birth registration in Thailand’s Mae La camp. Under Thailand’s amended Civil Registration Act, some 5,000 newborn refugees in Thailand’s nine border refugee camps have received birth certificates, an important step to prevent statelessness. 23 April 2015. (Photo credit: United Nations)

Thailand grants long-term Myanmar refugees living in camps along the border the legal right to work, addressing both humanitarian concerns and the country’s labor shortage.

The Thai Cabinet approved measures on 26 August allowing refugees in temporary shelters along the Thai-Myanmar border to seek formal employment, many for the first time in their lives.

Jirayut Huangsub, spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister, said the initiative would allow refugees to work legally in Thailand, helping them support their families while contributing to the economy.

He added that the move reflected Thailand’s commitment to humanitarian values and was a strategic investment in the country’s future, with refugees expected to boost local consumption, create jobs, and strengthen GDP growth and economic resilience, as reported by the Bangkok Post,

So far, Thailand hosts over 100,000 Myanmar refugees across nine temporary shelters in Mae Hong Son, Tak, Kanchanaburi, and Ratchaburi provinces. Many fled military abuses since the 1980s, according to Human Rights Watch.

The new work permits will only be available to about 80,000 refugees registered with the Thai government. Of this population, around 42,601 are of working age and eligible to apply. They must request authorization to leave the camps and can obtain permits valid for up to one year.

The Cabinet noted that allowing refugees to work would ease the state’s burden, support economic growth, safeguard human rights, and address labor shortages.

The decision comes at a critical time for Thailand’s labor market, which is affected by an aging population and the departure of at least 100,000 Cambodian migrant workers following border clashes on 24 July.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees welcomed the policy, recognizing the prolonged displacement of some 81,000 long-staying Myanmar refugees along the border.

Many have relied entirely on humanitarian aid for decades, with nearly half born in the shelters.

The statement read that Tammi Sharpe, UNHCR Representative in Thailand, said that for too long, protracted exile had felt like an unending wait, but today marked a turning point, and with this policy shift, Thailand was transforming refugee hosting into an engine of growth, for refugees, host communities, and the nation as a whole.
