The Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and his entourage are currently in Laos for an official visit from 5 to 9 December to strengthen the bilateral partnership between the two countries.
The Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith who had invited His Highness Grand Duke Henri to visit the country welcomed him and his delegations at the Presidential Palace on Monday afternoon.
On the same say, the government of Laos and Luxembourg signed cooperation agreements in matters of infrastructure development, health, labor skills development, and tourism.
President Thongloun Sisoulith also expressed his gratitude to the government and the people of Luxembourg for providing vital assistance to Laos.
He stated that Luxembourg is an essential development partner for Laos and that the cooperation between Laos and Luxembourg was effective, progressive, and solid.
His Highness Grand Duke Henri thanked the Lao government for the warm welcome, and their support of previous multilateral frameworks and ensured his commitment to assist Laos’ national and human resource development.
The two governments would continue to cooperate in the fields of rural development, education, human resource development, tourism, hotel services, finance, banking, public sector infrastructure development, and statistical work.
