On 22 October, Industek Co., Ltd. celebrated its 10th anniversary at its Occupational Safety and Health Environment (OSHE) Training Center in Nakhouay Kang village, Xaysettha district, with executives, guests, business partners and employees.
Founder and Managing Director Phonesavanh Xaypanya said Industek has supplied safety equipment and delivered safety training for a decade and is committed to building high-quality training in Laos that meets international standards.

“The primary goal of establishing this center is to build safety within Lao society, particularly across factories and industrial plants,” Xaypanya told The Laotian Times.
He said Industek plans to build a dedicated safety facility for children, because safety awareness starts with learning young. The facility would teach children to help themselves during fires, accidents and floods.
Jeff Birkner, consultant and senior advisor to Industek, said the company started small with a strong mission and has exceeded it, though much remains to be done. He said Industek believes it opened the first safety and environment training center in Laos.
Birkner said the center has trained more than 7,000 people in the past three years and aims to train 1,000 to 2,000 more in the next 12 months.
“One of our main goals is to make Lao people work in a safe environment,” he said.

Founded in 2016, Industek supplies safety equipment and industrial supplies, and describes itself as the largest supplier of general personal protective equipment and industrial chemicals in Laos. It also provides engineering and facility management services.
The OSHE center offers courses from basic safety awareness to advanced certifications in occupational health and environmental management, using simulation labs and real-world scenario training.
Industek operates under ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety.
The event reviewed the company’s journey, honored outstanding employees and thanked key supporters. Executives announced priorities: driving innovation, upskilling the workforce and improving service performance.
Industek thanked its clients and partners for their trust and looks forward to advancing with them toward a sustainable future.
