On 6 July, Luang Prabang Power Company Limited (LPCL) donated three types of medical equipment worth more than LAK 800 million (USD 35,720) to Luang Prabang Provincial Hospital, strengthening the hospital’s medical capabilities and expanding local access to quality healthcare.
The donation includes a fetal heart rate monitor, a tonsillectomy surgical instrument set, and an immunoassay analyzer.
LPCL, an associate company of CK Power Public Company Limited, developed the Luang Prabang Hydroelectric Power Project. Kitpoat Srasomsub, LPCL’s Deputy Managing Director – Construction, handed over the equipment on behalf of the company to Phouvana Anoulackkham, Director of Luang Prabang Provincial Hospital.
LPCL said the donation supports its broader effort to improve quality of life in local communities by strengthening the hospital’s capacity for medical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment.
The company added that the initiative also contributes to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 on good health and well-being.
