Yahoo Taiwan Finance 2025 Investment Survey Reveals Key Shifts in Strategies

Tariff Policy Impacts Taiwan Market,  ETFs Emerge as Top Hedge, Gen Z Diversifies, Crypto Gains Momentum
Yahoo Taiwan Finance Expands AI Features for Smarter, More Efficient Investing

TAIPEI, July 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Yahoo Taiwan, with nearly 30 years of local expertise, continues to enhance its financial services by focusing on four key areas: agile teams, localized global technology, AI-powered content, and deeper engagement with users and partners.

Yahoo Taiwan Finance unveils the results of its 2025 Investment Behavior Survey, highlighting three key trends.
Yahoo Taiwan Finance unveils the results of its 2025 Investment Behavior Survey, highlighting three key trends.

Today, Yahoo Taiwan Finance, the top-ranked financial destination and a trusted platform for business decision-makers[1], released the results of its 2025 Investment Behavior Survey. Based on insights from nearly 9,000 internet users in Taiwan aged 18 and above, the study highlights three major trends:

  • Nearly 60% of respondents have adopted more conservative strategies in 2025, while Gen Z participation continues to climb.
  • ETFs have become the top choice for managing risk, and cryptocurrencies are gaining momentum as a rising asset class.
  • Despite market volatility, building savings and wealth remains a shared goal across all age groups, with AI-related investments maintaining strong appeal.

Investment Strategies Realign in 2025: ETFs Lead as Top Hedge, Crypto Rises, and Three Key Sectors Lead the Market

Investor sentiment has grown more cautious following the announcement of renewed tariff measures, with nearly 60% of respondents shifting toward conservative strategies-marking a notable increase in risk aversion compared to 2024[2]. Still, 49% remain confident in the outlook for Taiwan’s stock market over the coming year.

Saving and wealth accumulation remains the top goal (62%), followed by long-term income generation (48%) and retirement planning (38%). Nearly 80% of investors now prefer systematic investing (39%) and buying on dips (39%) to mitigate risk and enhance dividend strategies. ETFs have become the most planned asset class to increase at 36%, overtaking stocks at 28% to become the preferred hedging tool.

Investment preferences vary by strategy. Aggressive investors still favor stocks (29%) and ETFs (28%), with close to 10% planning to grow their crypto holdings. Popular themes include AI concept stocks (31%) and US equities and bonds (30%). Meanwhile, conservative investors are leaning toward ETFs (nearly 40%) and stocks (around 30%). Across all segments, high-dividend ETFs, AI-related stocks, and market-cap ETFs have emerged as the three most favored asset classes.

Gen Z Defies Market Caution with Diverse Strategies, Guided by Parents into Stocks, ETFs, and Crypto

While overall sentiment has grown more cautious, Gen Z is moving in the opposite direction and remains a standout in the survey. Participation rose 7% from last year, surpassing 60%. Their top goals are saving and wealth accumulation at 62% and generating long-term income at 39%. Short-term gains now rank third, reflecting a growing drive to build additional income as living costs rise and wage growth remains modest.

Many Gen Z investors began their financial journey to earn extra income (50%) or invest alongside family (44%), influenced heavily by their Gen X parents. Although still early in their investment experience, over 60% rely on advice from parents and peers, followed by financial platforms and brokerage apps (45%).

This generation is also embracing diversification. Their portfolios span across stocks (49%), ETFs (41%), insurance (30%), and crypto assets (14%), showing a broad-based approach to navigating market uncertainty.

TotalEnergies ENEOS completes rooftop solar project with TechnipFMC in Malaysia

JOHOR BAHRU, Malaysia, July 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — TotalEnergies ENEOS successfully commissioned a 680 kilowatt-peak (kWp) rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system in collaboration with TechnipFMC, a leading technology provider to the traditional and new energy industries.

With over 1,100 solar modules installed, the PV system generates around 915 megawatt-hours (MWh) of renewable electricity annually, powering 20% of the facility’s energy needs. This helps TechnipFMC to avoid approximately 500 tons of CO2 emissions each year.

Under the 18-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), there is no upfront investment required by TechnipFMC. TotalEnergies ENEOS fully funded, installed, and will operate and maintain the solar system, with TechnipFMC purchasing the electricity produced for the duration of the PPA.

Alexandru Buzatu, Director of TotalEnergies ENEOS Renewables Distributed Generation Asia Pacific said: “This project marks a significant advancement in TechnipFMC’s sustainability journey. As TechnipFMC’s preferred energy partner, we take proactive steps in helping to reduce their carbon emissions in the Asia Pacific region. Our knowledge of the regional market and engineering excellence see us work with key industry players towards a shared vision for a sustainable future.”

Alberto Oliveira, Manufacturing Director – Nusajaya, TechnipFMC, said: “We are proud to be part of this renewable power initiative with TotalEnergies ENEOS. It reflects our deep commitment to responsible operations and a sustainable future. By harnessing clean energy, we are reducing our carbon footprint and advancing our ambition to drive meaningful, lasting change for our communities”.

Zoho Launches Zia LLM and Deepens AI Portfolio with Prebuilt Agents, Custom Agent Builder, MCP, and Marketplace

Homegrown, Business-Optimized Technology Addresses Needs for Developers and End Users While Enhancing Platform Capabilities

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach Newswire – 28 July 2025 – Zoho Corporation, a global technology company, announced additional investments and offerings in AI, including Zia LLM, a proprietary large language model; Zia Agents, with 25+ ready-to-deploy AI-powered agents available in Agent Marketplace; Zia Agent Studio, a no-code agent builder; and a model context protocol (MCP) server to open up Zoho’s vast library of actions to third-party agents. These capabilities and investments are designed to help organizations fully realize and maximize the value of contextual, assistive and agentic AI technology. Immediately impacting daily workflows for diverse roles and use cases, Zoho’s latest AI developments deliver operational and financial efficiencies across entire organizations.

The Zia Agent studio is now fully prompt-based. Agents built by users can be deployed autonomously, triggered through button click or rule-based automation, or summoned within customer conversations.
The Zia Agent studio is now fully prompt-based. Agents built by users can be deployed autonomously, triggered through button click or rule-based automation, or summoned within customer conversations.

“Zia LLM is a unique Enterprise LLM, this investment furthers Zoho’s longstanding aim to build foundational technology focused on protection of customer data, breadth and depth of capabilities, and value,” says Gibu Mathew, VP and GM of Zoho APAC. “Because Zoho’s AI initiatives are developed internally, we are able to provide customers with cutting-edge tool sets without compromising data privacy and organizational flexibility, democratizing the latest technology on a global scale. For businesses, AI needs data integration at a DNA level, the Zoho platform is built with exactly that future and vision.”

Zia LLM, Built from the Ground Up and Optimized for Business

Zoho has launched its own large language model, Zia LLM, built completely in-house by leveraging NVIDIA’s AI accelerated computing platform. Trained with Zoho product use cases in mind—ranging from structured data extraction, summarization, RAG, and code generation—Zia LLM is comprised of three models with 1.3 billion, 2.6 billion and 7 billion parameters, each separately trained and optimized for contextual applicability that benchmark competitively against comparable open source models in the market. The three models allow Zoho to always optimize the right model for the right user context, striking the proper balance between power and resource management. This focus on right-sizing the model is an ongoing development strategy for Zoho.

In addition to Zia LLM, Zoho is announcing two proprietary Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models for speech-to-text conversion for both English and Hindi. Optimized to perform on a low computer load without compromising on accuracy, the models benchmark up to 75% better than comparable models across standard tests. Language support for additional languages will be coming in the future.

While Zoho supports many LLM integrations for users, including ChatGPT, Llama, and DeepSeek, Zia LLM continues Zoho’s commitment to data privacy by allowing customers to keep their data on Zoho servers, leveraging the latest AI capabilities without sending their data to AI cloud providers.

Zia LLM will be deployed across Zoho’s data centers in the US, India, and Europe. The model is currently testing for internal use cases across Zoho’s broad app portfolio, and will be available for customer use in coming months.

Effective Native AI Agents Ready for Use

To enable immediate adoption of agentic technology, Zoho has developed a roster of AI agents contextually baked right into its products. These agents can be used across various business activities, handling relevant actions based on real-life organizational roles (including sales development, customer support, and account management).

Agents available today include:

  1. New Version of Ask Zia: The latest version of Zoho’s platform-wide conversational AI assistant, Ask Zia‘s new BI skills are tailored to data engineers, analysts, and data scientists, yet supports any user within an organization. Ask Zia is now equipped with capabilities that directly address the unique pain points faced by each persona, whether it’s building end-to-end data pipelines for engineers, analyzing data, creating reports and dashboards in an interactive conversation mode for analysts, or helping to jump start building ML models for data scientists.
  2. Customer Service Agent: With the ability to process incoming customer requests, understand the context behind them, and either answer them directly or triage them to a human rep, the Customer Service Agent for Zoho Desk provides an efficient yet reliable first line of assistance, paving the way for quicker responses and resolutions.

AI Agent Studio and Marketplace

First announced earlier in 2025, Zoho has further simplified the Zia Agent Studio experience to be fully prompt-based (with the option to use low-code) and include ready-made access to over 700 actions across Zoho’s products. Agents built by users can be deployed autonomously, triggered through button click or rule-based automation, or summoned within customer conversations.

At the time of deployment, an agent can also be provisioned as a digital employee. Digital Employees respect defined user access permissions, maintaining the same permissions structures already defined within the organization. Admins are able to perform behavioral audits as well as performance and impact analyses on Digital Employees, ensuring that every agent is working as effectively as possible and within clear guardrails.

Zoho Marketplace, which supplies over 2500 reliable extensions and integrations for Zoho users, now houses the Agent Marketplace, a dedicated section for AI agents that can be deployed by customers quickly. Ecosystem partners, ISVs, and individual developers will soon be able to create agents and host them on the Zia Agents Marketplace, further simplifying the adoption of agentic technology by organizations.

Some pre-built agents created with Zia Agent Studio (and available on the Zia Agent Marketplace) are:

  1. Revenue Growth Specialist: Uncovers opportunities for upsell and cross-sell across existing customers, recommending the best marketing approach for each customer.
  2. Deal Analyzer: Analyze deals and provide insights such as win probability, next best action, and follow-up suggestions.
  3. Candidate Screener: Intelligently identifies and ranks the most suitable candidates for a specific job opening based on role requirements, skills, experience, and other key attributes.

Zoho will continue to add more pre-built agents to the Agent Marketplace over time to cover several valuable core and utility use cases across various business functions. The full list of available agents can be found under Additional Documentation.

With over 55 applications across one ecosystem, users can build agents to meet their organization’s every need, no matter how specific. With Zia Agent Studio, Zoho users have access to the same tools as Zoho’s developers, ensuring that any agent a customer dreams of can be created with ease.

Interoperability with MCP

Zoho has adopted the model context protocol (MCP), offering its own MCP server with a rich action library across several applications, allowing any MCP client to tap into data and actions from various Zoho apps while respecting the customer’s defined permission structures.

Zoho’s MCP server has a library of actions from more than 15 Zoho applications exposed during Early Access. With Zoho Flow, third party tools are also exposed. Additional Zoho applications will be onboarded in the coming months. Furthermore, Zoho Analytics now offers support for a local MCP server.

Roadmap

In the short term, Zoho will regularly scale Zia LLM’s model sizes, starting with the first of several planned parameter increases by the end of 2025. Future planned releases include expanding the available languages used by the speech-to-text model, beginning with languages spoken primarily across Europe and India, as well as the introduction of a reasoning language model (RLM).

Additional skills will be added to Ask Zia, allowing it to act as an assistant to Finance teams and Customer Support teams, with more skills added in the future.

Support for the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol will be implemented, allowing for Zia Agents to interact and collaborate with each other, as well as collaborate with agents on other platforms.

Availability and Pricing

Zia LLM will be available to Zoho customers in the coming months. Zia Agents, Zia Agent Studio, Agent Marketplace, and Zoho MCP Server are being rolled out to customers who are currently on the early access waiting list. General availability for these offerings is expected towards the end of 2025. Zoho expects to study the usage patterns of these customers across use cases, industries, geographical regions, and sizes during this early access phase. A pricing structure for these offerings can be expected at the time of general availability.

Zoho Artificial Intelligence Differentiation

Zoho is committed to designing and incorporating artificial intelligence guided by the principles of customer privacy and value. Our generic AI models across contextual, assistive, and agentic AI, are not trained on consumer data and do not retain customer information. Zoho builds AI tools with usefulness in mind, striking a balance between providing AI technology that assists workers while right-sizing models that don’t require burdening consumers with additional costs.

Galan Lithium Limited: Incentive Regime for HMW Project in Argentina

PERTH, Australia, July 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Galan Lithium Limited (ASX: GLN) (“Galan” or “the Company“) is pleased to advise that the Comite Evaluador de Proyectos RIGI, responsible for awarding the Argentine Government’s Régimen de Incentivo para Grandes Inversiones (the incentive regime for large-scale investments referred to as the “RIGI“), has approved the RIGI for Galan’s flagship Hombre Muerto West (“HMW”) Project in Catamarca Province, Argentina. Galan now expects to receive official approvals relating to the RIGI in due course.

The RIGI is a landmark investment framework introduced as part of the Government of Argentina’s new economic reform agenda, aimed at encouraging large-scale investment in key sectors, including mining. The RIGI provides long-term certainty on tax and foreign exchange regulations, as well as streamlined permitting, both critical enablers for project financing, efficient construction and operation of the HMW Project over its multi-decade life.

HMW will be only the sixth project to receive the RIGI approval in Argentina and the second in the mining sector, following the recent award to Rio Tinto’s Rincon project.

Managing Director, Juan Pablo (“JP”) Vargas de la Vega, commented:

“This is a major milestone for Galan that will further strengthen HMW’s global competitive position as a future low-cost producer. The RIGI will provide a strategic advantage to Galan and will unlock meaningful long-term value for the people of Catamarca and our shareholders.

The RIGI delivers fiscal stability and operational certainty over the long-term, key requirements for major project financing and execution. It also signals strong alignment between Galan and the Argentine government’s broader vision of accelerating lithium production and economic development.

Galan sincerely thanks the Government of Argentina and the Province of Catamarca for endorsing HMW for official approvals under the RIGI which further substantiates HMW as a significant project in Argentina and globally.”

Key Benefits of the RIGI for the HMW project:

  • Reduced Corporate Income Tax: a significant 10% reduction in corporate income tax rate to 25%.
  • Fiscal Stability: Certainty around income tax, royalties, and export duties for 30 years.
  • Foreign Exchange: Preferential access to currency markets for imports and dividend repatriation.
  • Customs & Tariff Exemptions: Reduced barriers for importing critical equipment and materials.
  • Accelerated Depreciation: Improved cash flow through tax-effective project development.

About Hombre Muerto West

HMW is a multi-decade, lithium brine project in Argentina with compelling economics. Phase 1 provides for a 4ktpa LCE operation, producing a 6% LiCl concentrate product over a projected 40-year life (1). Galan expects first Phase 1 production in H1 2026 and has secured an offtake agreement for 45,000 t LCE of production.  Beyond Phase 1, the Company will undertake a phased scaling approach, eventually ramping up to 60ktpa at the conclusion of Phase 4. This approach mitigates funding and execution risk and will allow for continuous process improvement.

With a world class resource and a cost profile within the first quartile globally, HMW is a clear demonstration of the benefits of a high-quality lithium brine asset. These benefits are allowing Galan to progress through development and into production with a lower capital intensity and lower risk profile when compared to hard rock lithium (spodumene) projects.

As importantly, lithium chloride is a key component for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, which have become the dominant battery product globally.  With the ability to be cost effectively converted into a lithium dihydrogen phosphate or lithium carbonate, lithium chloride, as will be produced at HMW, is an ideal source for LFP batteries.

The Galan Board has authorised this release.

Please refer to the Mineral Resource Statement for Galan’s Total Resources of 9.5Mt LCE.

(1) Please refer to the announcement dated 3 July 2023 (ASX: Phase 1 of Hombre Muerto West (DFS Delivers Compelling Economic Results for Accelerated Production)). The Company confirms that all material assumptions underpinning the production target continue to apply and have not materially changed.

Galan’s flagship assets comprise two world-class lithium brine projects, HMW and Candelas, located on the Hombre Muerto Salar in Argentina, within South America’s ‘lithium triangle’. It is home to the established El Fenix lithium operation, Sal de Vida (both projects are owned by Rio Tinto following its successful acquisition of Arcadium Lithium). Automate Unveils Push PRO: The Smartest Remote Control for Your Shades

STAMFORD, Conn., July 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Automate, a leader in smart shading solutions, proudly announces the launch of Push PRO, its first smart remote for shades with built in offline automation. Push PRO delivers a seamless and intuitive way to control motorized shades, offering advanced automation features without requiring an internet connection.

As energy costs rise, homeowners are looking for smarter ways to manage heat and light. Push PRO’s automated scheduling helps reduce energy consumption, making homes more efficient without relying on Wi-Fi or apps. The personalized naming functionality eliminates the guesswork by enabling users to assign specific names to individual shades or groups, ensuring a more intuitive and efficient control experience.

With over 60% of homeowners now integrating smart home tech, Push PRO is designed to seamlessly fit into modern smart homes, providing a convenient and efficient way to manage shading solutions.

“Consumers want simplicity without sacrificing smart features. Push PRO is a leap forward-giving users’ ultimate control over their shades while staying completely offline. This is the future of smart shading,” said Jonny Matuichuk Senior Product Manager, Automate at Rollease Acmeda. “With features like personalized shade naming, offline scheduling, and installer-friendly setup, Push PRO is designed to enhance both user convenience and professional installation efficiency.”

Push PRO’s on-screen prompts simplify setup, guiding users through configuration with ease. Users can adjust shade modes including motor speed and favorite positioning, with just a few taps. Additionally, Installer Mode provides professionals with the ability to pair shades, set limits, and lock settings before completing the handover. Designed for optimal visibility and accessibility, the 2.4-inch LCD display features an optional dark mode and smart wake function for instant access, helping with readability any time of day when backlit. Push PRO is powered by a long-lasting rechargeable battery, delivering up to six months of use on a single charge, with a fast USB-C recharge in just two hours.

Push PRO is also the perfect master remote for the home, allowing users to conveniently control multiple shades across the entire home. For more precise, room-based control, it can be complemented with Automate Push series’ single-channel or five-channel remotes, enabling users to manage individual shades when needed while maintaining overall home automation.

With its sleek design, powerful automation features, and intuitive user experience, Push PRO completes the Automate Push Series, providing a tailored solution for every shade control need.
