China has provided Laos with a further one million doses of its Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine to assist in the country’s vaccination program.

This latest shipment of China’s Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine arrived in Laos yesterday evening, according to Chinese Media in Laos, CRI.

Dr. Bounfeng Phoummalaysith, Lao Minister of Health, formally accepted the vaccines from representatives of the Chinese Embassy to Laos at Wattay Airport.

The vaccines were delivered alongside vaccination equipment as part of Chinese assistance to Laos in its efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19 and complete its goal of vaccinating 50% of the population be the end of the year.
